Family Burns to Death From Drunk Illegal

A family of 3, Tenisha Williams, 26; her husband, S.J. Williams; and her son, Xavier Brown, 2 burned to death while trapped in their burning car when a speeding & drunk illegal alien criminal rear-ended their vehicle. Bystanders struggled to save the young family. Some used hand-held fire extinguishers to hold back the flames while others attempted to pry open the doors.

Juan Felix Salinas, 42, voluntarily returned to his home in Nuevo Leon, Mexico, two years ago, officials said. But he returned to the U.S., eventually making his way back to the Houston area. His bail has been set at $90,000 — $30,000 for each death. Salinas had three times the .08 legal limit for intoxication in Texas.

Salinas had been free on bond from a March 31 family violence incident in Jacinto City.

As 15-year-old Dani Countryman struggled beneath Gilberto Arellano Gamboa, pinned to the floor with her pants down, he called on his cousin to help subdue the girl. Alejandro Rivera Gamboa responded by stepping on Countryman’s throat until she stopped moving.

Police said 15-year-old Dani Countryman was trying to fight off Alejandro Rivera Gamboa and his cousin, 23-year-old cousin Gilberto Javier Rivera Gamboa when they strangled her at a Milwaukie apartment in late July.

Alejandro was taken into custody last Saturday on an outstanding warrant for an unrelated probation violation involving drunk driving. The murder charges were later added.

The scum bags asked for warmer jail clothes.

Another young American life taken because Bush & Congress have done nothing substantive to stop this madness. And the joke is that if the recent immigration bill had passed, these 2 pieces of human debris would have been given amnesty & set on the road to citizenship. And the scum with the drunk driving conviction should have been deported then.

Illegal Rapes 15yr Old -Was Jailed 11 Times Prior

Juan Villa, an illegal immigrant criminal, was released on $1,000 bail & just hours later raped a 15yr old. A 13-year-old girl also told deputies during the investigation Tuesday she was raped by Villa. Law enforcement is looking for him. Authorities detained at least 13 suspected illegal immigrants Tuesday during a search for the suspect.

Villa has been in the Maury County Jail 11 times since 2001 on charges of assault, public intoxication, driving without a license and contempt of court. He was released at 9:44 p.m. Friday on $1,000 bond. Officials said the rape allegedly happened shortly after midnight at a residence in Maury County not belonging to the victim or suspect.

Sheriff Enoch George said local law enforcement contacted Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents before the rape allegedly occurred about deportation but were told the matter would be dealt with at a later date.

And immigration & Enforcement says they'll deal with him later?! The nation celebrates the 231th year since the Declaration of Independence. July 4th, 1776 was the watershed moment when the American colonies voted to formally break from Great Britain. War was inevitable & the successful outcome of that war for the colonies was gloomy indeed.

An assemblage of volunteers was pitted against the most formidable military power in the world. Success came 6 yrs later after a long, contentious fight for independence. But that only set the stage for building a nation. The Articles of Confederation, then the Constitution finally gave birth to the United States of America.

There were many heroes & brilliant men who helped establish the U.S.A at that time. It could almost seem that Divine Providence stepped in by delivering so many of those men at that time.

The U.S.A of 1787 was an unheard of experiment in that era - a truly free, democratic Republic. From our perspective, it is easy to not appreciate how truly revolutionary this form of government was.

Let us celebrate what our ancestors gave us & the world. Let us remember those in the armed forces who won the right for this country to exist & those in all our armed conflicts who helped & continue to help this country remain free.

America is the bright beacon of the world, the best hope of the world. This is attested to by the millions of have come, still come & wish to come to these shores.

Senate Shamensty Bill Fails Again

The Amnesty bill that the Senate attempted to foister on American citizens has gone down in glorious defeat. This effectively kills any attempts at immigration reform until at least after 2008. This bill was so egregious & damaging to America's interests that it still amazes us that so-called representatives of America's citizens would have the gall to attempt such a travesty.

This government has still no effective control over our borders. In this day & age of terrorists it is appalling that this condition exists. It is appalling that thugs, criminals as well as terrorists can still get into this country illegally & easily. Have our representatives forgotten 911 so soon? How many more Americans must die at the hands of rapists, child predators, murderers, drunk drivers & drug dealers who get into this country illegally before something is done? How many Americans must be victimized by identity theft before the government stops this insanity?

How long must towns & cities & taxpayers foot the bill for illegals who get our health care, education, welfare & other social benefits? How long must we watch our towns & cities turn into 3rd world enclaves of unassimulated illegals who are overwhelming our culture & traditions? How many towns must go from 10% Hispanic to 70% Hispanic within 10 years because our government refuses to stop the hordes of invaders?

The Senates' easy answer is to make 12-20 million illegals "legal". Voila! No more illegals problem - they are now all legal residents courtesy of Congress.

Senate Passes Comprehensive Color Bill!!

Some highlights of the bill:

Every person of color will immediately be issued a C-visa. This will give them legal, temporary white status. In 4 months they can apply for a regular C-visa at a cost of $1,000 which is renewable every 4 years. Those persons of color who seek a pathway to white citizenship may apply for permanent white status after 8 years at a cost of $5,000. They must also swear they are really persons of color, learn white-speak & pass a white citizenship test.

A beaming Senator Ted Kennedy, Captain of the SS Oldsmobile said, " This will bring the 100 million persons of color in our country out of the shadows & allow them to participate fully & legally in our white country.

Amnesty By Any Other Name Is Still Amnesty

President Bush & the Senators who are for the proposed immigration bill keep clamoring that illegal aliens will not be given amnesty if the current bill is passed. They claim that since illegals will have to pay a penalty for citizenship or legal status, that it is not amnesty. Bush is a liar. The Senators are liars. They are playing words games. They are trying to deceive the public.

The day this bill is ever passed is the same day that 12-20 million illegal aliens will be given legal status to remain & work in the USA. They will be given provisional Z-visas - a new made-up visa just for them. They can they apply for a permament Z-visa for $1,000. The visa is renewable, meaning they can remain in this country forever even if they don't pursue citizenship. If they pursue citizenship the total cost will be $5,000. But those waiting to come to this country legally, by the rules, pay out thousands for fees & attorneys & wait 8 - 13 years.

These illegals broke the law by coming here illegally. That will now be overlooked. The taxes they never paid while working will now be overlooked. The fraudulent & stolen Social Security numbers they used to get work will now be overlooked. The fraudulent driver licenses & green cards they bought will now be overlooked. The medical requirements that apply to aliens who enter the country legally will now be overlooked. The fraud they committed to gain social services will now be overlooked.

WE CALL THIS AMNESTY despite what a dipshit President & dipshit Senators call it.

Treacherous Senate Immigration Bill Fails

The comprehensive immigration bill that Senators tried to ram down the throats of Americans has been defeated. It was a sweet victory for those who want border security & enforcement of illegal immigration laws.

The bill was concocted by a group of Senators who tried to by-pass the normal channels of bringing a bill before the Senate. Instead of writing a bill & sending it to a committee & sub-committee for review, debate & amendments & voting it out of committee to the full Senate for a vote, these Senators met in secret with illegal-immigration advocacy groups & hammered out a bill that was a mish-mash of amnesty & weak border controls. They then brought it before the full Senate & attempted to get the bill passed without review, debate or time enough to study it completely.

In effect, they tried to ram the bill through to passage before the American public became aware of what a travesty this bill was. They are reprehensible.

Senate Again Sells Out Americans

Senate Republicans & Democrats, after meeting secretly, reached a compromise immigration bill that is a complete sellout of the American public. It is worse than the bill the Senate came up with last year. The highlight of the bill is that it would give immediate amnesty & legalization to 12-20 million illegals.

It is so egregious that one wonders how Senators can be so stupid or so arrogant or so detached from the will of the American public. The contents of the bill was enough for the Senate Minority Leader to call it a "piece of sh*t". What's disturbing is that some Republicans who should know better got on board & supported it.

Some of the provisions of the bill:

1. The day this bill ever becomes law, 12-20 million illegals aliens would immediately have their status changed to legal. They would be issued a provisional card allowing them to stay & work in the US.

2. Eventually they would get renewable Z-visas which maintains their legal status indefinitely.

3. There is no requirement for them to apply for citizenship, but if they do so, they would have to pay a $5,000 "fine".

4. Border security would include hiring a few thousand more Border Patrol Officers & the 700 mile fenced enacted into law last year would be shortened to half that. Greater reliance would be put on additional electronic surveillance.

5. Guest workers per year would be set at 400,000.

President Bush & Senate leaders deny this is amnesty, but they're lying. It is obviously amnesty.

There are other stupidities in this bill. The government is given only 24 hours to run a background check on each illegal. It normally takes months to do a thorough background check, but illegals who may have false i.d. are even more problematic. This is pure idiocy. Those who want citizenship would have to pay a $5,000 "fine". Illegals who are gang members would have to sign a statement renouncing their gang ties. Duh. The 600,000 illegal fugitives now on the run would be eligible for legal status. Illegals would not have to pay back taxes, which Americans don't have the luxury to do. Illegals would now be eligible for in-state-tuition, educational loans, & a host of welfare programs. There is no penalty for coming into the country illegally, nor for use of phony social security numbers or driver licenses or other fake i.d. they typically use. Their immediate family is eligible to come into the US, which could swell the population by 40 million. The jump in front of the line of lawfully abiding people who try to get into the country legally. Legalizing all these illegals would cost about $2.5 trillion dollars in government benefits & assistance over 30 years. Your tax dollars. Border security promises will be just that - promises that never get fulfilled.

It goes on & on. These Senators are on drugs or something. This bill is an embarrassment to the Senate & an affront to every American & legal resident. The bill is slated for a vote in June, although the Democrats were hoping to ram it down our throats as early as this coming week, without committee hearings or debate. Amendments are being voted on in the meanwhile.

No To Amnesty - Yes To Deportation

The Senate is heading toward a vote on an immigration package that is actually amnesty for 12-20 million illegals. We will go into the details when we see the package. However, the current immigration laws on the book ought to be enforced, rather then spending time talking about amnesty.

The immigration system is broke. It needs to be fixed first. Here is one "hard-working, family values" illegal that should have been deported the first time he ran afoul with the law. It took the murder of a police officer to stop him.

Ezeiquiel Lopez, an illegal, shot & killed a police officer during a traffic stop. Lopez had prior run-ins with the law:

In 2003, he was arrested in Texas on a gun charge.

In 2003, Lopez was picked up in Missouri for driving drunk.

In 2004, Kenosha police arrested him on charges of domestic battery, disorderly conduct and bail jumping.

No agency bothered to check his legal status nor inform Immigration. The scum should have been deported on the first offense. Why he wasn't speaks volumes of our broken system. It also demonstrates the sanctuary cities, in their arrogant defiance of Federal law, aids & abets these criminals.

It is the same with DUI illegals who are killing Americnas. Many have 2, 3, 4 priors. They were never deported.

The Senate ought to put a lot more concern into the safety of Americans, rather than kowtow to illegals & make them legal. If Lopez didn't do his killing he more than likely would have been on the road to citizenship or at least made legal, thanks to the Senate.

Victims of Illegals

These are but a few of the thousands of people who have been victimized each year by illegal aliens. They were victims of homicides, DUI's, sex assaults, child molestation, aggravated assaults, robbery, theft, kidnapping, sex slaves. Many DUI drivers were arrested 2-6 times before. Why weren't they deported on their first offense?!

Each one of these people would not be dead, legless, or otherwise injured if the illegal alien criminals were not in this country.

Contrary to President Bush, not all illegal aliens come here to just work, nor do they all bring family values with them. Along with the worker, scum crosses the border too. As well as terrorists. Not only do they bring crimes, they bring unchecked disease. Tubercolosis & other diseases are increasing in areas of high illegal immigration.

How many more must be killed, lives ruined, before Congress & the President do something?!

Congress & Bush are responsible for these deaths & injuries. They are doing nothing seriously to stop the illegal invasion. Forget "guest worker" programs. Get a handle on the invasion first. Stop the unneeded carnage. This is shameful.

Today, Americans face an unprecedented illegal immigration crisis facilitated by multi-billion dollar drug and human importing cartels as well as corporations which are inducing the invasion by aiding and abetting illegal aliens and using their influence on the Executive Branch and elections to paralyze existing immigration laws supported by over 80% of the American citizenry.

These events are not random and chaotic. Massive illegal immigration is the result of non-enforcement and under-enforcement of our existing immigration laws.

Supporters of illegal aliens love to claim that our immigration system is broken. The system is not broken. Elite financial and political business interests who could care less about the death and devastation they are causing Americans have sabotaged the system. Their profits continue to rise as they send the rest of America spiraling downward on a path to anarchy and Third World quality-of-life conditions.

By using their influence to suspend our existing laws, these globalist special interests have deprived all Americans of political representation as well as their votes, their voice, and a functioning Republic for which our flag stands.

When the laws of the American people – debated and voted on by their duly-elected Congressional Representatives and signed into law by the President – go intentionally under-enforced by the Executive Branch, all of the principles, sovereignty, and self-governance of Americans are derailed. The will of the American public, the existing laws, the US Constitution, and the borders of our great nation are perceived as market hindrances to the global elite. We the people of America are perceived as peasants and subjects beneath the power of their influence.

The American public has spoken through our lawmakers and in numerous polls. A super majority of Americans want our existing laws enforced, those responsible for illegal immigration fined and/or imprisoned, the borders secured, and illegal aliens deported from the United States for many years or permanently. These fact remain, despite several politicized polls which attempt to manufacture consent and make you believe such views represent a minority.

The truth is that most Americans want the illegal aliens to return to the nations of which they are citizens. The rallying cry is: "Illegals Go Home!"

We could easily list 101 reasons why Americans are upset about illegal immigration. Most are concerned about the 4,000+ preventable deaths of Americans by the criminal acts of illegal aliens on our soil each year. No corporate propaganda will change the fact that most Americans do not want to surrender or capitulate to the lawless masses rushing into our nation.

No poll or politicized source is needed to prove this point because the decision is based upon our nation's successful history and basic common sense. The answer is based on something that every judge, lawmaker, and even street thug knows. The penalties must outweigh the benefits if you want to deter any action.

It is common sense and common practice in America that for any law to be a deterrent, two important factors are in play. First, the laws must be enforced, and second, the penalties for any crime must exceed the benefits to those breaking the law.

It is truly amazing that we find ourselves as a nation having to explain these basic foundations of law to corporations and politicians in the year 2007 despite their existence since the dawn of civilization! Can you imagine what would happen in America if the penalty for robbing a bank was that you had to return half of the money you stole if, and only if, you were apprehended for the crime? What if the penalty for car theft was paying a $2,000 fine if you were caught with the stolen vehicle?

The answers are clear. Within a month, you would not have a bank open in America and you would not be able to keep a car worth more than $2,000 in your driveway for more than a week. How many millions of people would quickly take up the careers of bank robber and car thief once the rewards for the crime were higher than the penalty?

If American businesses and homes left their windows and doors unlocked each night and robbers were merely removed by police when detected – only to try again the next night – what do you think would happen? If big, global businesses practiced the same non-enforcement of security similar to the lack of border security and lack of immigration enforcement they have facilitated for Americans, they would be out of business in a matter of days or weeks. If they left their doors unlocked at night and just pushed people back to the street, America would quickly descend into such chaos and anarchy that we would be unable to sustain a population of 300 million. Our population would take a hit similar to the impact of the Black Plague on Europe, and we would quickly enter a new dark age.

Since illegal aliens can never afford to compensate Americans for what they have taken, they must go. We do not need to go door to door looking for illegals to deport in America. Attrition through enforcement works. Illegal aliens are leaving the states of Georgia and Pennsylvania in droves, not because they are enforcing the laws but because they have simply announced they plan to start!

Unfortunately, the current state of affairs in America has illegals flooding in by the millions each year and many law-abiding Americans fleeing the states of California and Texas and many towns and cities in search of more safety and security. Many Americans are on the run and finding few places left to run to.

The illegal aliens are sending a clear message on the streets of Los Angeles and other major urban centers. They are saying: "This is our land. White, black, and legal Hispanics get out!"

This is great news for the housing and real estate markets, Wal-Mart, and McDonalds. They are growing the economy using rapid population growth. This is great news for big corporations and bad news for Americans.

Attrition through enforcement will work. In fact, if President George Bush were to announce on national television that America would begin securing our borders and enforcing our existing laws in one month, so many illegal aliens would leave America that Mexico would have to set up refuge stations!

Another important reason that the illegal aliens must leave for the long term is that they'll return to their home communities with a message for their neighbors that their ill-gotten gains did not pay off in America. This is the only thing that will stop, or slow, the flow. Deporting illegal aliens and sending them packing is the only real way we can put a stop to this crisis.

The politicians in DC are very aware that Americans want the illegal aliens to go. That is why their latest Scamnesty legislation includes a “touchback” provision. Under these laws, the illegal aliens can hop across the Mexican or Canadian borders where special "Ellis Island" stations are set up for them to pay a fine, receive new documentation and be back in the US within days or hours.

The lunatics advocating this plan are counting on Americans to be so stupid and so gullible that they can say, "Look, the illegals left and walked back in legally. Problem solved!" They are eager to pretend to accommodate the American desires for the illegals to leave while quickly returning their slave labor force to our nation.

They know that Americans want illegals to leave and get behind a long line of legal immigrants waiting to enter the US, including millions of people who have been waiting 5-10 years. These politicians and the illegal aliens need to be shown the way to the back of the line. The back of the line is back in the country in which they are citizens, 5-10 years down the road behind all of the talented and law-abiding people who respect our laws.

If these traitorous corporations and politicians succeed in setting up these Ellis Island stations for “Operation Touchback," the revered symbol of Ellis Island will take on a new meaning that Americans see with contempt and resentment. Ellis Island will become a name associated with the horrendous betrayal of free Americans and the deathblow to the American Republic. This is a symbol of America’s surrender and the subjugation of all her people.

If we allow the politicians in DC to sign off on the many Guest Worker, Temporary Worker, Path to Citizenship, Amnesty, Scamnesty bills written by the US Chamber of Commerce, then no wall with an army on top of it will stop the next 20 million from crashing down on our country. We will have signaled that America is weak and will capitulate and accommodate. Already, the word is out in Central and South America that they can come and stay. Each time President Bush has opened his mouth about such programs, the US Border Patrol reports massive spikes in illegal crossings.

Since there is literally no end to the stream of illegals who want to be in America, this will be the end of America as we have known it and as history has praised it.

In the past, when America has cracked down on illegal immigration and the American people have signaled they want the immigration brakes applied, the policies have worked. New laws written near the turn of the 20th century greatly reduced the amount of immigration into America. When Presidents Franklin Roosevelt and Dwight Eisenhower launched large deportation campaigns in the 1950s and 1930s, illegal immigration slowed to minuscule levels as a result.

Whether you agree or disagree with the decisions of the past, these policies were part of the successful formula that have led America to become the most opulent and successful civilization in human history.

While some argue that these enforcement measures were racist and that some American citizens of different races were improperly deported at the time, we now have the technology and methodology in place to assure that American citizens and legal immigrants are not improperly affected by our immigration enforcement efforts.

The difference in 2007 is that the globalist corporations that have hijacked the American government want to stop the American citizenry from applying the brakes this time. They have taken away our ability to determine who can enter our nation and our ability to stop armed and unarmed invasions as granted by the US Constitution.

To take away the self-governance of Americans is to kill the very thing that has made us such a great and successful nation.

In a time of crisis like this, we must stand firm on the principles that have made America an attractive and great nation. We must stand firm on the rule of law. The law must be applied equally to big corporations and illegal aliens alike lest we all become slaves subject to the plans of masters instead of a free and empowered citizenry.

Illegal aliens and corporations must endure penalties for their illegal, deadly, and destructive actions that exceed the benefits they gain from their illegal activities.

The hour is late and it is time for Americans to stand up and say with one voice...

Another Drunk Illegal, Another Dead American

It just doesn't end. More drunk driving illegals & more dead Americans.

CHARLOTTE, N.C.: Luciano Melendres, 30, is charged with felony hit-and-run, driving while impaired, driving with a revoked license, driving without liability insurance and driving with fictitious tags.

Officers say Melendres, a native of Mexico, hit and killed 32-year-old Danny Sims while he was crossing Albemarle Road near Farm Pond Lane around 10:30 p.m. Sunday. They say Melendres fled the scene in a green Ford Expedition, but a witness called 911 as she followed the sport utility vehicle and directed officers to a home on Jason's Forest Drive, just two miles from the crash scene. Police arrested Melendres a short time later.

Melendres was just convicted last week on a DWI charge from a March 16, 2006, incident. He was sentenced to probation, alcohol assessment and treatment and community service and was ordered to pay court costs and have a breathalyzer device installed on his vehicle. Police said they didn't find the device during an initial look inside.

Probation? Community service? Why wasn't this bottom-feeder deported on the first DWI offense? Simple - because our waste-product Congress & Executive Branch do nothing about it. They care little if Americans are killed by foreign invaders, or so it would seem, otherwise they would have these killers & potential killers deported, if not jailed, then deported.

It is a disgrace that our own government does nothing while the slaughter of Americans continues unabated. Film Director Killed By DUI Illegal

"LOS ANGELES (Associated Press) -- Film director Robert Clark, best known for the holiday classic "A Christmas Story," was killed with his son Wednesday in a head-on crash with a vehicle steered into the wrong lane by a drunken driver, police and the filmmaker's assistant said. The driver, Hector Velazquez-Nava, 24, of Los Angeles, remained hospitalized and will be booked for investigation of gross vehicular manslaughter."

It so happens that Velazquez-Nava was unlicensed, uninsured & an illegal alien.

Two teenagers, Alison Kunhardt, 17, and Tessa Tranchant, 16, inseparable as friends, were killed recently in Virginia Beach, Virginia, when the car they were in, stopped at a light, was rear-ended by Alfredo Ramos. Ramos was charged with DUI. He also had false drivers license which he had paid $200 for. Ramos is also an illegal alien.

Worse still, Ramos had priors for DUI. His last DUI, 2 months ago, he was given a 90 day suspended sentence, fined $250, had his drivers' license suspended, and he ordered to participate in ASAP, an alcohol awareness program. Charges were dropped for no insurance or license.

Mother & her pregnant daughter killed in DUI

Maria Ortiz, 49, and her 18-year-old daughter, Vanessa, who was five months pregnant were killed in Texas recently by a DUI driver who rear-ended them. He fled the scene was was later captured. The driver, Ignacio Gomez-Gutierrez, was an illegal alien.

Worse still, he had 3 prior convictions for DUI. Gomez-Gutierrez spent 26 days in the county jail for the first drunken driving conviction, three days for the second incident and six months for the third.

Iraq Veteran on Leave killed by DUI

Marine Cpl. Brian Mathews, 21, of Columbia and his date, Jennifer Bower, 24, of Montgomery Village were killed Thanksgiving night, shortly after 10:00 p.m. when Bower's Toyota Corolla was hit from behind by Eduardo Raul Morales-Soriano, 25. He is an illegal alien.

It wasn't Morales-Soriano's first auto accident and it wasn't the first time police had dealt with the landscaper when alcohol was apparently involved. In February, Columbia police responded to a non-injury accident in a parking lot involving Morales-Soriano. According to police reports, he was "unable to maintain his balance" during a field sobriety test. He was given four citations and allowed to leave the scene of the accident with a relative after he refused to take a Breathalyzer test. Although Maryland law requires an automatic 120-day forfeiture of a drivers license for refusing the test, Morales-Soriano's license was not suspended after the accident.

Student on Spring Break killed by DUI

Andrew Stear, 21, was killed in Florida while on Spring Break by a stolen car whose DUI driver then attempted to flea the scene. The driver was apprehended. The driver, Hugo Rodriguez Colindrez, 28, is an illegal alien.

The list goes on & on. Thousands of Americans are killed or victimized each year by illegal aliens. The illegal aliens in the above cases had 2,3,4 times the legal alcohol limit. And those with priors were not deported. Instead, they were allowed back on the roads to kill. In fact, the police didn't even report them to immigration authorities.

The crimes go to the freakin drunk bastards who think being drunk is macho in their culture & go on with their killing by their macho driving skills while drunk. They should be deported at the least. But there is hope. U.S. Congressman Phil Gingrey last week helped introduce a measure that would seek the deportation of illegal immigrants who are convicted of driving while intoxicated. The bill would make DUIs grounds for mandatory detention and expedited deportation of illegal aliens. Let's see if the swine in Congress have the guts to do what's right & pass it.

Two Thirds Of Employees In Factory Detained On Immigration Charges

About two-thirds of the 500 employees working at leather maker Michael Bianco Inc in New Bedford, Massachusetts, were detained on Tuesday by immigration officials for possible deportation as illegal immigrants. Most of the employees were women and, as a result, about 100 children were left with babysitters or caretakers.

The company, called a sweatshop by authorities, has a $91 million military contract to make backpacks & safety vests.

The owner of the company, Francesco Insolia, 50, and three managers were arrested as well.

Investigators said the illegal workers faced onerous fines at the factory - $20 for talking while working or spending more than two minutes in the bathroom.

Calif Proposal To Give $500 to Each Newborn Regardless Of Immigration Status

Legislation unveiled Wednesday would provide a tax-free, long-term investment account to every baby born in California, regardless of the parents' financial or immigration status. The idea is to persuade more families to invest for the future, beginning when their children are infants.

The proposed account, called Kids Investment and Development Savings, or KIDS, is meant to grow until the child turns 18 and could withdraw the money for a house, education, vocational training or to roll over into a retirement account.

It is estimated that it will cost California taxpayers over $280 million a year for the over 500,000 births a year. Births are expected to reach over 600,000 by 2015. With families contributing $50 a month the investment would reach over $17,000 when the child reaches 18.

We find this proposal insane & hope it will be defeated. California is already deeply in the red with its budget deficit. Adding $280 million a year is not a luxury taxpayers can afford. Nor is it fair to those taxpayers without children.

Beyond this, illegal alien parents of children should not be further rewarded for breaking the laws of our country. And it will only be a further inducement for illegals to cross the border so they can drop more newborns on the taxpayers.

195 Illegals Arrested In Company

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested 195 illegal aliens in more than a dozen states who worked for Rosenbaum-Cunningham International Inc., a maintenance & cleaning company. Some of the company's clients include Hard Rock Cafe, ESPN Zone and House Of Blues.

ICE charged three individuals who operated the company with failing to pay more than $18.6 million in federal employment taxes and for hiding the profits which were later used to buy luxury boats, homes and racehorses.

This is the problem with employers who hire illegal aliens. Not only are they saving on lower wages, but many are failing to pay employment taxes & other benefts. This gives them an unfair competitive edge on their competition.

We applaud the ICE raid & expect much more of ICE in the future. Businesses who hire illegal aliens need to be brought down big time. It's sickening how many businesses are willing to cheat for profit or personal gain by their executives. Profit over patriotism is their motto.

Bank of Un-America - Credit Cards To Illegals

Bank of America has started a pilot program in 51 of its branches in the Los Angeles area to begin issuing credit cards to Hispanic immigrants who do not have a Social Security card or a credit history.

The bank will issue $500 limit cards to those who have a checking account in their bank for at least 3 months & will accept a Taxpayer Identification Number in lieu of an ssn or a Matricular Card issued by Mexico as i.d.

Bank of America is trying to tap into the 10-20 million illegal alien market in this country.

We find this all problematic. The Taxpayer ID number is issued to anyone without an ssn card. Every illegal in the country can get one from the IRS, thank you IRS. The Matricular card is no id at all. Mexican consulates issue these & there is no real proof that the person that gets the card is who he says he is. Yet the bank will rely on this. Then there is the problem of defaulted cards. There is no real way to trace the defaulter - heck, they don't even have to have a credit history to get a credit card. The defaulter can go back to Mexico or where ever & the American customers will be stuck with the cost of the default.

Besides presenting just another additional incentive for illegals to come to this country, this scheme can further help establish a valid indentity for terrorists coming into the country.

"It helps to further embed illegal immigrants into American society," said Steven Camarota, research director for the Center for Immigration Studies in Washington, which backs stricter enforcement of immigration laws. "It makes amnesty a fait accompli."

Though what the bank is doing is legal as it stands, we think some serious laws should be passed to stop this.

NFL Sacks Border Patrol

The NFL refused to run a recruitment ad by the Border Patrol in its Super Bowl Program saying it was "controversial." The ad listed some of the duties of a Border Patrol officer including preventing "the entry of terrorists and their weapons," blocking "unlawful entry of undocumented aliens" and "stopping drug smuggling."

An NFL spokesman said the ad "mentioned terrorism. We were not comfortable with that. The borders, the immigration debate is a very controversial issue, and we were sensitive to any perception we were injecting ourselves into that."

The NFL failed to mention that to get into the game fans had to go through security checks because of terrorism. Are they "uncomfortable" with that too? The NFL also forgets which country they are in. The vast majority of Americans want a tightened border, so what the hell is this talk about "controversial?"

What the NFL is really looking out for is its own interests - increasing its fan base among Hispanics & Latinos - & to hell with the Border Patrol, which happens to be a Federal agency.

The NFL with its narrow-minded interests is saying to the American public "screw you", although they are quick to take Americans' dollars - or is that Pesos? They should be ashamed. But they're not.

California To Pay Health Care for Illegals

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger is pushing for a plan whereby nearly 1 million illegal alien workers will gain full health coverage in California. It is part of his plan to make it mandatory for all Californians to have health coverage.

It is estimated that 40,000 illegal workers will gain coverage through their illegal jobs, 160,000 illegals will purchase health care (yeah, right) & the remaining 750,000 would have their coverage paid for by the state!!

Schwarzenegger saw fit to veto a bill to give drivers licenses to illegals, but in his bazaar rationalization it is ok for the state to pick up the tab by California taxpayers for 750,000 illegals.

This will only be a further magnet for illegals to cross the border to get to California as soon as possible for their free health care, to go with their in-state tuition benefits & other benefits they're already getting.

It will cost California taxpayers billions of dollars to provide health care for illegals at a time when Medi-Cal, the state health care program, is facing serious economic problems.

It is an unfair burden on California taxpayers to reward those who broke the law to get into this country. This is an outrage & California voters need to terminate this program before it gets started. Arnold has lost his mind.

First-Baby Contest - $25,000 to Illegal Mom

Toys "R" Us held a sweepstake for the first American baby born in the USA on New Years Day. The prize was a $25,000 savings bond. It so happens that 3 tied for first born. In a random draw to determine the winner the prize was given to the baby of an illegal Chinese couple. Toys "R" Us disqualified the baby because the rules stated that the mother must be a legal resident in the country & the prize was given to another baby, whose mother happens to be a black American.

Well, Chinese groups were livid. One Chinese spokesman even said, "But when it comes to this Chinese-American U.S. citizen, she was deprived of $25,000 intended to be used for her college education, because of who her parents are”, adding that Chinese see implications of second-class citizenship that strike an ugly chord.

After the outcry, Toys "R" Us decided to award all the babies the prize.

What strikes us is that Toys "R" Us kowtowed under pressure to revise their rule that only legal resident mothers were eligible. But they recently opened business in China & we understand the economics they are facing.

What is more striking is that the contest rules required the mother to be a legal resident in order to be eligible & Chinese groups are trying to bring up the old saws of racism & second-class citizenship to get around that. This is pure intimidation & race mongoring. What part of "illegal" & "not legal resident" don't these jackasses get? This is typical of the pro-illegal activists - call the opposition racists, nativists & zenophobes.

The Chinese baby is an American citizen - an "anchor baby". That needs to be changed by Congress. A Mexican woman can drop a baby 5 seconds after illegally entering the USA & the baby is an automatic American citizen & eligible for all the benefits that a real American citizen is entitled to. Give us a break.

We should also point out that in New York City 6 out of 10 babies born in the city have immigrant parents. That is a disturbing statistic.

6 State Raid Catches Illegals

In one of the largest raids ever, Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) swept through the meat processing plants of Swift & Co., the second largest meat processing company in the world. In the 6 state raid, 1,282 arrested, including 1,217 on immigration charges and 65 on criminal charges such as identity theft. Swift employs 13,000 throughout its plants. The raids followed a 10-month investigation into illegal immigrants suspected of buying or stealing other people's identities to secure U.S. jobs. The scheme may have had hundreds of victims, officials said.

Immigration officials last month informed Swift that it would remove unauthorized workers on Dec. 4, but Swift asked a federal judge to prevent agents from conducting the raid, arguing it would cause "substantial and irreparable injury" to its business.

After a closed hearing, a judge on Thursday rejected Swift's request, clearing the way for Tuesday's raids at the plants in Greeley; Grand Island; Cactus, Texas; Hyrum, Utah; Marshalltown, Iowa; and Worthington, Minn.

In a written statement, President and CEO Sam Rovit said the company has never knowingly hired illegal workers and does not condone the practice. Swift uses a government pilot program to confirm whether Social Security numbers are valid.

We are glad to hear that ICE & the Department of Homeland Security are finally taking some initiative in cracking down on illegal aliens in the work force. This needs to continue in ever increasing raids. The 1,200 arrested represents 10% of Swift's employees! Swift covered itself by verifying Social Security numbers with a government program, but they cannot verify fraudulent SSN cards or other forms of ID.

Identity theft is a large problems & illegals have no qualms with stealing your identity to further embed themselves into American society. The pro-illegal alien crowd bemoans the fact that illegals are arrested, but they give a rats ass that somewhere there are victims of identity theft because of these illegals.

1 in 7 Mexican workers employed in the U.S

The Migration Policy Institute came out with a report stating that 1 in 7 Mexicans have left their country to work in the USA. That is 14% of the Mexican work force. There are more than 7 million workers from Mexico in the U.S. labor force - up 2 million from 6 years ago. Mexicans accounted for nearly 1/3 of the 22.6 million foreign-born workers in the US. Over 50% of those workers were in the service or construction occupations. 60% of Mexican workers did not complete high school.

The report did not distinguish between legal & illegal alien workers. However, considering there are between 11 - 20 million illegals in the country it seems fair to say that most of these workers are illegal. By the way, 10% of the population of Mexico is now living in the US.

Another report from the Migration Policy Institute shows that Mexican illegal immigration between 1990 & 2000 has shown dramatic increases in states that are not along the Mexican border.

In Arizona, Maricopa County's desert areas are littered with the debris & rubbish from illegal aliens. There are 15 large illegal campsites in the county that are used as waiting points or drop-off areas for illegals coming into the USA. They leave behind all manner of garbage. It has accumulated into literally tons of garbage & it is destroying the once pristine desert.

The county has come up with an innovative way of cleaning it all up. They are using county inmates to remove the garbage. The cost to taxpayers is nothing & the garbage bags & dump trucks used have been donated. 200 inmates will be used in the program. They will be given an extra bologna sandwich for their effort, said Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, known as the toughest Sheriff in the country.

It is puzzling why environmental groups are so quiet about the damage done to the desert by the illegal aliens. Illegal aliens must somehow fit into their agenda. Arizona Initiatives Curb Illegals

The four initiatives passed by big 3 -1 majorities:

Proposition 100: Bailable Offenses

Prevents those charged with serious felonies from being eligible for bail if they are in the country illegally.

Proposition 102: Standing in Civil Actions

Blocks undocumented immigrants from being able to obtain punitive damages in lawsuits. Limits awards to actual damages.

Proposition 103: English as the Official Language

Requires state government to take all formal action in English. Includes many exemptions, such as for legal proceedings. It won't change bilingual ballots, which are required by federal law.

Proposition 300: Public Program Eligibility

Blocks undocumented immigrants from accessing state- subsidized programs for adult education and child care, among other programs.

We congratulate Arizona citizens for taking the lead in the fight against illegal immigration. More & more cities & towns are taking the issue of illegal immigration into their own hands since the Federal government refuses to do anything substantive other than just talk.

The Elections & Illegal Aliens - What It Means

The recent mid-terms elections gave the Democrats control of the House & Senate. What that means for immigration reform is scary indeed to ponder.

President Bush will be working with a Democrat Congress that is more in tune with his way of thinking about immigration reform than his own Republican base. That is, both the Democrats & Bush want a guest worker program & a "path to citizenship" for the 10-20 million illegal aliens in the country.

The Republican-controlled House recently killed the Senate's irresponsible amnesty bill for illegals & focused primarily on a border control & enforcement bill, which was passed - a 700 mile fence. This will change with the Democrats in control. Big time.

A Democrat-passed immigration bill will most assuredly be signed by Bush. It will effectively reward illegal aliens for not only line jumping over those who legally are trying to enter the country or gain citizenship, but it will reward illegals for breaking U.S. law & coming into the country illegally. It will reward illegals for stealing American's identities in their quest for "documentation" & reward them for the forged & fraudulent green cards, driver licenses, social security cards, etc that they use for work, government benefits & a cover identity.

The 10-20 million illegals will be allowed to bring family into the country, who in turn will bring in their family, who in turn, etc, etc. Government benefits & social services will be open to them & will cost taxpayers billions upon billions. There is no end in sight what an amnesty will cost this country.

Then their is the question of identity of illegals. Their is no sure way of proving they are who they say they are. We will assuredly be giving anmnesty & citizenship to criminals & possibly terrorists. It will cost billions to set up a review process that will be flawed to start with.

But the amnesty that you can expect to see will not solve the problem. It will only increase it. The 1986 immigration reform passed by Congress gave citizenship to 3 million illegal aliens. Coupled with that, border enforcement was to be a part of that law. There was no enforcement. Not only that, but the legalization of 3 million illegals brought a horde of more illegals aliens into the country, hoping for legalization also. The result is that we now have 10-20 million illegals. If they are given amnesty, how many more do you think will come in to the country for their chance also?

It will be a disaster of unimagined proportions when Congress & Bush collaborate to put in to law their immigration "reform." God help the country.

That's what Pennsylvania congressional candidate and former reality TV star Raj Peter Bhakta did to make a point about border security. He was in Brownsville, Texas along the Rio Grande river & saw half a dozen men swimming near an international bridge between Mexico & the U.S. He wondered why no one was checking them out - no Border Patrol. to be seen anywhere.

So circus producer James Plunkett was hired for the photo shoot and provided three elephants. Bhakta said, "the elephant never made landfall into Mexico, but I tell you something, he could have made 15 laps back and forth, but no one showed up."

Plunkett said his crew entered the Boca Chica beach area in Texas and remained for about an hour. The Border Patrol finally showed up & alerted the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the elephants were detained and sprayed for ticks then released.

It was not reported whether they were looking for American ticks or undocumented ticks.

Cops Sued For Not Knowing Spanish

An attorney for a Hispanic man who was allegedly knocked to the ground and kicked by a police officer is seeking over $1 million dollars for his client, arguing that the city's failure to teach law enforcement officers "fundamental Spanish" is the reason excessive force was used. A Dallas attorney argued in his filing that the city was negligent for not monitoring and training the unnamed officer Â specifically, for not training him to speak Spanish "in order to properly communicate with Spanish-speaking persons."

It's a joke, right? No, but it's a frivolous lawsuit that is going nowhere. However, there is a point behind it.

America is becoming more & more a multi-cultural,multi-linguistic society, thanks to rampant immigration both legal & illegal. Unlike the immigration waves of 1850 & the early 1900's,today's immigrants are not assimilating into American society. There is no impetus to learn English when government & private agencies cater to these immigrants in their own language.

We see it from a personal perspectivee. Someone walks into our office & is barely understandable when they say, "You speaka the Spanish"? When we say no, it is like their world is crushed. They don't understand why we don't speak Spanish - after all Spanish spoken in Mexico City, so why not here? It is the same with the Brazilians & Portuguese who walk into our office. And the Chinese - "Lu spleek China"? No we lon't.

We cannot imagine living in China & walking into a Chinese government office not knowing a word of Chinese. We would take someone with us who does speak Chinese. Not in the good ol' USA however. The USA is quickly becoming the new Tower of Babel. The thing is that the foreign speaking more or less expect that we speak their language. And why shouldn't they? We give driver tests on 50 languages although we have yet to see a Polish stop sign or Arabic Yield sign. We press 20 buttons on the phone for the correct language. Bi-lingual education in some schools is 70% of the student body. We are becoming enclaves of tongues. What helps unite a country is a common language. We are not as united as we once were.

There is no demand that the foreign-speaking learn English. Instead, we cater to them in their language. And for the foreign-speaking criminals among us, that means you will be taken down like a dog because the police rightfully no speaka the Spanish.

The greater issue is the massive invasion of immigrants to the USA. We cannot slowly absorb them or hope for any chance at assimilation, whether they want it or not. The numbers are too great. With an estimated 12-20 million illegals in the country the problem is only exacerbated.

Which brings up another issue - loyalty & a sense of belonging to American society. But that is for another post.

Senate Passes Border Fence

The Senate by a vote of 80-19 easily passed a bill for a 700 mile double-layered fence along the Mexican border. A few weeks ago the House passed the bill. Now it goes to the President for his signing. The Senate also approved an initial $1.2 billion of a projected $6 billion cost.

We are pleased that this step has been taken. Congress is slowly waking up to the wishes of the vast majority of Americans who think border control is way overdue. The up-coming November elections were an additional impetus to get the Congress moving on border control. Before any talk of immigration, legal & illegal, control & enforcement at our borders must come first.

Mexico has already condemned the vote, which is reason enough to build a fence along the entire 2,000 mile border. Environmentalists are outraged as well - think of what the fence will do to coyote migration & blah, blah, blah. Of course, they say not a word about the literally hundreds of tons of debris & trash that illegal aliens leave in pristine desert areas & national parks. One has to wonder why the environmentalists are silent on this subject. They are hypocrites.

Demographer Hans Johnson describes it as "the most ethnically transformed city in California" & further stated that Williams "serves as an almost natural experiment about what these changes mean for all of us." In just two decades the population has shifted from three-quarters white to nearly three-quarters Latino. Almost half of the Latino immigrants in Williams had arrived in the last decade, according to the 2000 census, and only 6% were naturalized.

The changes are apparent in many ways - most businesses now cater to Latinos & Latino tastes, the Board of Education shortened the summer break by a week so it could extend to 3 weeks Christmas break - to give Mexican families more time to go home for the holidays. In a town hall scene two police officers, the records clerk and the city's code enforcement officer were all chiming in with a resident - in Spanish.

What is more telling & disturbing is the story of Linda Granzella who describes the Williams High School homecoming game of 1993. The high school band began playing the national anthem & "Eighty percent of the stadium wouldn't stand. They were Hispanic children, and they didn't stand for the national anthem. I asked them why. They said, 'This is not our country.' "

Maywood & Williams are just two examples of the sudden shift in demographics due to unfettered immigration. It is compounded by the huge illegal population that is drawn to these towns. But it is not just California where the changes are sudden & swift. It is happening in Georgia, North Carolina, Iowa of all places & other states across the map.

There is no assimilation into the American mainstream. Instead, enclaves of Hispanic & Latino communities are being established, a hostile takeover if you will, of American towns & cities. Soon we will become a hodgepodge of ethnic enclaves like Bosnia or like the European countries are quickly becoming due to their unchecked immigration policies.

We are seeing the results now - the national anthem incident above is but one in countless incidents across the country - "This is not our country." is their rallying cry. We've seen it & heard it too often nowadays - this is not their country. No loyalty to this country that educates their children, gives free health care to them as well as other social benefits, that gives them wages far more than the $5 a day they get in their country. Use & abuse the USA for what they can get out of it.

If you think this is overblown or hysteria, check again - find out for yourself, if you're not now already living it. This Congress & the President are doing nothing to stop it. Instead, they compound the situation with amnesty for millions of illegals (undocumented Democrats, really) that will bring in further millions & guest worker programs that will put even more Americans out of work.

This weekend in Chicago illegal alien advocates will again demonstrate for their "rights", as they did in May. This time they will have the support of Miller Brewing Company.

Miller Brewing has paid more than $30,000 for a planning convention, materials and newspaper ads publicizing the event.

The great American brewer has decided to support illegal immigration & amnesty. Of course, they are in it for the Hispanic/Latino customers they hope to draw. But there are more things important than bottom line profits - like supporting the laws of this country - which illegal aliens by definition have not. The protest march advertisements will include the Miller logo.

Matthew Romero, the company's local market development manager, said he wasn't worried that some opponents of illegal immigration would be upset at the company's support of "the free movement of people, labor, goods and services." Right - support illegal movement of people, Miller. This is the same company who supported a strong anti-illegal bill in Congress a few months ago until they caught hell with the illegal alien crowd. Hypocrisy, thy name is Miller Brewing.

We find it appalling that Miller Brewing would support such a cause & we urge everyone to boycott Miller products. Contact them here & tell them so.

Maywood, Mexifornia - An American Town Swallowed

You will notice in this picture that the Mexican flag proudly flies. No, this is not a Mexican town. The Mexican flag is flying above a U.S. Post Office in Maywood, California.

Recently, an anti-illegal immigration group, Save Our State, held a rally in Maywood to protest that towns' pro illegal immigration policies. They were met by & outnumbered by a counter demonstration of pro-illegal supporters. Besides the racial epithets & vial language hurled at SOS members, they also hoisted a Mexican flag on Post Office property. Eventually police moved in to remove the flag, but it became stuck half-way down.

We have seen pictures like this before. The pro-illegal crowd likes to take down American flags & replace them with Mexican flags. We've seen the swarm of Mexican flags in their large demonstrations over the past few months, that is until word spread that it wasn't helping their cause so low & behold they began showing American flags in their marches & protests.

The point these pro-illegals are making & the point that a lot of people are missing is that unlike immigrants of the past, they have no intention of assimilating into this country. Their loyalty will always be to the cesspool that is Mexico. They will use & abuse this country for their own gains & loyalty to the USA be damned.

A Town Swallowed By The Invasion

Maywood is located in Los Angeles County & has a population of 30,000. We understand that at one time it was out of a Norman Rockwell painting.

From the VDare immigration site: "In 1970, a majority of the Maywood population was White, with some Blacks and Asians, the total foreign-born population was only 14.4%
In 1980, the Hispanic population in Maywood was more than 80%. By 1980, nearly half (49.3 percent) were foreign-born.
In 1980, there were slightly more than 3,700 White people living in Maywood.
in 2000, there were about 700 whites in Maywood.
In 2000, Maywood was 97% Hispanic. More than 55% of its residents are foreign-born.

"The town encompasses just one square mile and it was never meant to house more than 10,000 people at the most. With three times that many now crammed into every nook and cranny, this small & once charming town is literally bursting at the seams. The last time I drove through Maywood, I was completely astonished by what I saw. There are rows and rows of older, once-quaint but now dilapidated homes -I'm not joking-5 or 6 mailboxes nailed haphazardly to the front each single-dwelling home. There are myriad temporary dwellings such as portable sheds pitched in backyards and rented out as apartments so that 15 or 20 people are all living on the same residential lot. Nothing was written in English. There seemed to be as many stray dogs as there were people roaming about town."

A town defies the law

Maywood declared itself a sanctuary town recently, to join in with Los Angeles, New York & other cities as sanctuaries to illegals. This means that the town will not cooperate with Federal immigration officials & will not allow their police to arrest illegals or notify immigration officials about illegals.

The city council signalled its displeasure with legislation that had recently cleared the US House, voting to disregard the bill's call to classify illegal presence in the US as a felony and to enlist local police in enforcing federal immigration law. It also directed the city's police department to stop towing away cars of drivers who don't have driver's licenses - a practice it said unfairly targeted illegal immigrants, so it eliminated it's Traffic Division! Some community members want to rename one of the city's elementary schools after former Mexican President Benito Juarez!

Welcome to Maywood, Mexifornia. The town is gone, swallowed by the invasion from our southern border. Your town may be next or the next one after that - but it will happen if the derelict Congress & President don't do something to seal the borders, stem the invasion & stop handing out green cards like candy.

Mexico Demands U.S. Seal Borders to Stop Flood of Americans to Mexico

The Mexican government sent an official letter of protest to the U.S. demanding that it seal its borders, using the U.S. Army if necessary, to prevent Americans from crossing into Mexico illegally. In the formal protest, the Mexican government cited its booming economy, attractive wages & it's repainted corrugated steel shanties as inducements for Americans to come to Mexico.

The letter further stated that, "Americans by the millions are flooding our cities, our workforce, our McDonald's & causing extremely long lines for our famous McChurabacamdemopoloconcarn burger. Guadelupe has become Gringo-ized. What next, a Yanqui mayor of Mexico City?! Our one doctor can not now retire since he is too busy treating thousands of undocumented Americans who cannot tolerate a little dirty drinking water. We did not concern ourselves with health care until they came & asked about HMO's. We still don't know what the hell that means, but it must be a nightclub for you gay Gringos. They demand driver licenses even though they are here illegally. Can you believe it? Drivers licenses - yet not one knows how to drive a stick-shift or how to whip a donkey.

"Additionally, we are now forced to add SSL (Spanish as a Second Language) to our school programs so you tongued-tied Americans can pronounce our R's the correct way, as in "burrrrrro" or "perrrrro." We have had enough of your stinking StarrrrBucks. We have had enough of you Americans. No mas! Go back to your own country. In fact, since we are the real owners of your Southwest, we demand you put a border wall along your stinking muddy Mississippi River & you Americans can stay on the eastside where you belong. Muchas gracias from your amigos down south."

The Mexican government has stated that if its demands are not met then they will vote for U.S. statehood just to screw up the U.S. flag with a 51st star.

They Check In, But Don't Check Out

We recently gained some personal insight into illegal immigration. We met a Brazilian man who lives in the USA. His sister just came from Brazil. Her parents are still in Brazil. He wanted his sister to attend high school in a local town. We explained that her legal guardians - her parents - were in Brazil so that was where she had to be schooled. He mentioned that she was visiting - on tourist visa. We asked when it expired & he said January 07. We told him that attending public school on a tourist visa was a violation of Federal law. We also pointed out that it made no sense her being schooled since she would have to return to Brazil in January 07.

This is the part that annoyed us. He answered by casually saying that she won't be going back. We pointed out that she would then be in violation of her tourist visa & she would become an illegal alien. He then repeated that she's not going back, that "no one goes back"!

This story is an example of the arrogant disdain that foreigners have for our immigration & visa laws. It is estimated that up to 40% of illegal aliens in this country are visa overstays. They check in, but they don't check out. They had no intention of checking out when they got their visas. For those who don't live on the other side of our southern border where the dream of being an illegal is only a walk away, a visa gets them into our country legally - then they just stay, forever.

It is all too common. It is pathetic. The only redeeming thing that came out our talk with this brother/sister team was that we had the supreme satisfaction of denying the wannabe illegal girl entry into an American school system that would have funded her education courtesy of US taxpayers.

Bring Me Your Tired, Your Poor, Your Ignorant

The Los Angeles Times has an article about a Mexican family who has lived in an immigrant enclave for years. It is heart-rending & you have to feel sorry for them. Then again, no you don't - it is their own damn fault.

The husband & wife are illegals from Mexico. The husband works as a carpet installer for $400 a week. They live in a 1-bedroom apartment for $600 a month. The kicker is that they have 10 children. 9 live with them - 2 teenagers, 3 year old triplets & just recently a set of quadruplets.

They were struggling mightily before the quadruplets. Now they must seek a larger & costlier apartment, as well as a larger vehicle to seat all the children.

Because all 10 children are American citizens, being born in the USA, the family is entitled to subsidized, i.e. free, school lunches, healthcare bills for the children covered by Medi-Cal & $700 a month in Social Security payments to help with the medical needs of one of the triplets. He has had 3 state-funded brain operations & will need more. That's basically their story.

But let's give it a critical eye. 10 children?? They are living in poverty or near poverty & they think it's smart to bring 10 children into this? The mother said she stopped using a birth-control patch because it nauseated her. She used fertility drugs to conceive the triplets.

She brings 10 children into the world to share in her poverty & misery. She brings taxpayers into her world to pay for the childrens' healthcare, lunch & other state or federal programs they are eligible for. And if her husband leaves her, as husbands sometimes do, she & the taxpayer are lifetime partners.

The parents show little regard to improve their lot or the childrens' lot. The mother has been in this country illegally for 22 years, the father for 28 years illegally. Yet neither can speak English! Their two teenage daughters speak mostly Spanish, with a limited English vocabulary. This is absolutely pathetic. Not only have they failed to assimilate into an English-speaking society, but have burdened their children with that failure as well.

The mother's existence contrasts sharply with that of her younger siblings, who followed her to Los Angeles but then left. They have settled in Lexington, Ky., had no more than two children each and built better lives than they had known before. Four bought houses. Their children speak English fluently.

The plight of the above family can be multiplied by the tens of thousands. Huddled in immigrant enclaves, these illegal immigrants come here poor & uneducated. They perpetuate a permanent poor class of workers. They don't have the wherewithal to get themselves out of it & they compound the misery by bringing into the world children they can't afford, & not just one or two children - but a gaggle of them. These children in turn create their own family of poor & so the cycle continues. They live in crowded 1-bedroom apartments of 12 people. Hell with the housing codes. They don't even have the ambition to learn English. They choose not to assimilate into the general population.

Unlike past & lesser waves of immigration, these illegals are failing to or refusing to assimilate into American society. Spanish-speaking compounds dot the map across the USA. A walk into these areas is like a walk into a foreign country. And the government "compounds" the problem by allowing voting in 52 languages, driver tests in 26, press 1 or 2 or 3 for whatever language, bi-lingual education. It goes on & on.

The backs of the taxpayers bear more of these families each year. We see overcrowded schools, overcrowded emergency rooms, hospitals going bankrupt for the no-charge services they provide to illegals & their families. A greater demand on social services is made each year by illegals - services that could be better spent on US citizens.

It is not just happening in Los Angeles. It is happening in every state in the Union. And the problem will continue to grow exponentially as the unbridled flood of illegals enters the USA each year. American society is in a sea-change right now, for the worse. We will all wake up one day & wonder how it all happened seemingly so suddenly.

Well, thank the Congress for failing to do anything about controlling the border. They are the villains in this mess. The US taxpayers & citizens are the victims.

Senate Refuses To Fund Fence It Voted For

Two months ago the Senate voted for & approved a 370 mile fence & 500 miles of vehicle barriers along high traffic areas of the southern border. The fence & barriers were part of a comprehensive immigration reform bill. Mind you, 370 miles of a 2,000 mile border is small indeed.

In a vote the other day to fund that fence & barriers, the Senate voted no.

It's John Kerryesque - they voted for the fence before they voted against it.

This is another sad example of just how worthless your elected Senators are, how they are playing politics with a serious national issue & how unserious they are about securing our borders. They are too busy salivating over what pork they can get with your tax dollars. They can find the money easily enough to fund wasteful pork projects, but when it comes to control of the borders, well that's another story. They are pathetic. But that is nothing new.

Trashing the border

Every time I go down to the Mexican border, I'm struck by a down and dirty realization: This beautiful land looks like a dump. Recently I was at a waist-high border vehicle barrier in a valley northeast of Tecate, Baja California. As far as the eye could see, strewn past barbed wire or collecting knee-deep in culverts, were water bottles, food wrappers, used paper products such as toilet paper and maxi pads, even felt shoe covers designed to obscure tracks.

"This was a beautiful refuge 10 years ago," Mitch Ellis, manager of Arizona's Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge, says. "Just stunning." Now, he says, it looks like a "war zone." The refuge shares just 5½ miles with the Mexican border but is a staging point near the Sasabe border crossing and is crisscrossed by highways that serve as pick-up routes. The sheer amount of foot and vehicle traffic — at least 200,000 to 300,000 crossers a year on the 118,000-acre refuge — makes endangered species conservation a losing battle.

Last year, 500 tons of trash was strewn across the Buenos Aires refuge, as well as human waste and about 100 abandoned vehicles. Wild animals are choking on plastic or getting tangled in trash, and crossers' campfires have sparked wildfires. Aerial photos, Ellis says, reveal a shocking web of 1,300 miles of illegal trails cut through the refuge. Read the rest of the article here >>

Remember, this is just one wildlife refuge. Multiply this by all the others & it is sickening. The same is being done to private ranches along the border. Amazingly, the major environmental groups blame the USA & its border fences & policies, rather than putting the blame on the illegals who are destroying pristine areas of the US. Go figure.

Over a Million Pounds of Narcotics Seized on Border in 9 Months

They are not just your poor, tired, hungry, yearning to be free & to work. That is the image pro-illegal advocates like to cast on illegal aliens. As the above headline demonstrates, more is coming into the country then just the po' illegals.

US Border Patrol agents seized more than 1,154,000 pounds of narcotics in the last nine months starting in October, according to a US Department of Homeland Security Customs and Border Protection report.

Border Patrol agents seized over 1.1 million pounds of marijuana, nearly 8,000 pounds of cocaine and 157 pounds of heroin. The combined value of the narcotics is almost $1.2 billion, according to CBP officials. During the same time, Border Patrol Agents made 901,428 apprehensions...Almost one million in 9 months! Other-than-Mexican apprehensions totaled 89,059...meaning Chinese, Iranians, Syrians, you name it. That's an awful lot of "others" caught.

Let's not forget the convicts, the murders, the rapists, the thieves, the pedophiles & the diseased.

We wonder how many got through without being apprehended & how much narcotics got through without being seized. And we wonder how many terrorists in the "other than Mexican category" slipped through.

Thank Congress & the President for doing absolutely nothing to stop this onslaught of our southern border. They have failed the citizens of this country.

One Million Sex Crimes By Illegals

In a ground-breaking study, Deborah Schurman-Kauflin, Ph.D., of the Violent Crimes Institute, Atlanta, Georgia, has determined that one million sex crimes have been committed by illegal aliens. They included serial rapes, serial murders, sexual homicides, and child molestation.

Researching police reports, public records, interviews with police, and media accounts, she determined that based on an illegal population on 12 million, 2% of those apprehended were sex offenders. This translates to 240,000 sex offenders in this country. This further translates to 93 sex offenders and 12 serial sexual offenders coming across U.S. borders illegally per day. The 1500 offenders in this study had a total of 5,999 victims. Each sex offender averaged 4 victims. This places the estimate for victimization numbers around 960,000 for the 88 months examined in this study.

Contrary to pro-illegal immigration advocates, illegals are not all coming here for jobs to escape poverty. Among them are sex offenders, druggies & drug dealers, murderers, terrorists...well you name it. And Americans are needlessly being killed, assaulted & robbed because of them.

Kids, thank the U.S. Congress & President Bush for putting your safety in jeopardy by failing to control our borders. "Thank you U.S. Congress & President Bush."

Towns Stepping In Where Federal Government Fails

Little by little, local municipalities are starting to fill the vacuum left by the failure of the Federal government to do much of anything about illegal aliens.

***In Hazelton, PA, Mayor Lou Barletta has proposed an ordinance that would prohibit and punish the hiring of illegal immigrants and renting property to them. “I don’t want them here in Hazleton,” Barletta said. “They’re not wanted. … The jobs most work are selling drugs. Many I am dealing with are not law-abiding citizens... a group of people are here illegally, not paying taxes, using city resources, and I have just had enough of it,” the Republican mayor added.”

Hazelton has seen its population explode from 23,000 to 31,000 residents in six years because of an influx of Hispanics. The Hispanic population has increased from 3% to 25% in those six years.

The proposed ordinance also would make English the city’s official language. That means all city communication, including signs and forms, could only be in English – unless it violates an explicit federal mandate.

“Somebody needs to take a stand on this,” Barletta said, noting estimates that put about 12 million illegal immigrants in the United States. “I want to send the message: Don’t come to Hazleton.” With the rising crime rate, additional police have been hired. “We’re hiring three more in the next few weeks, and that’s still not nearly enough,” the mayor said. “It’s not fair to be using resources on people who don’t belong here.”

Under the proposed ordinance, the city would reject a business permit, the renewal of a business permit and city contracts or grants for a period of not less than five years from a business’s last offense – hiring or attempting to hire an illegal alien, renting or leasing to illegal aliens, or funding or aiding in the establishment of a day laborer center that does not verify legal work status.
“Any act that aids and abets illegal aliens within the United States, not just within the City limits, will constitute a violation,” the proposed ordinance says.
Any property owner or renter/tenant/lessee in control of property who allows an illegal alien to use, rent or lease their property would face a fine of not less than $1,000, irrespective of intent, knowledge or negligence.***

***In Butler County, Ohio, Sheriff Richard Jones is doing his part in dealing with illegals aliens. Jones says it costs his county thousands of dollars a month to jail lawbreakers who also happen to be illegal immigrants. He has billed the federal government for the incarceration costs -- $150,000 since last October -- though he doesn't expect to see any reimbursement checks.

The sheriff has begun targeting businesses. On six billboards across the county, Jones has plastered his own image, arms crossed over chest, reminding employers that it's illegal to hire undocumented workers. He says the signs are generating tips from the public. On his blog, Jones warns companies, "You know who you are, and we're coming." "If you engage in an underground economy and you think that we don't know about it, we'll be visiting you," Jones says.***

What can we say. Give these guys a medal, or better yet, a seat in Congress. They seem to be doing something that Congress refuses to do. We hope more towns follow the lead of these two men.

Dunkin' Donuts To Screen Out Illegals

Dunkin' Donuts, a 5,000 store chain, which is based primarily on the East Coast has announced that all its stores will be required to begin participating in the voluntary Federal Basic Pilot Program to ensure they are not hiring illegal aliens. The Basic Pilot Program allows employers to run social security numbers into a database to confirm whether that number is valid or invalid or stolen. Results usually are returned within 10 seconds. Out of close to a million numbers run so far, 170,000 have been flagged. That's an alarming percentage. It shows the extent of the use of illicit Social Security numbers.

Only a little over 6,000 employers out of 8 million use the Basic Pilot Program. If the program were mandatory, illegal employment would be cut drastically & would go a long way in curtailing illegal immigration. As usual, Congress has failed to make it mandatory.

Said a Dunkin' Donuts spokesman: “Our hiring policy is simple: WE FOLLOW THE LAW!” New signs posted in every shop will read, “This company hires lawful workers only - U.S. citizens or nationals and non-citizens with valid work authorization - without discrimination.”

Now if only the Federal government would follow Dunkin' Donuts lead & start enforcing the laws already on the books. We urge everyone to patronize Dunkin' Donuts & get some yummy coffee & donuts.

The quisling Senate today passed a sweeping immigration bill that will do nothing less than force social engineering on Americans & will lead to even heavier debt or bankruptcy of Social Security & Medicare.

A quick read of the bill reveals the following:

*Amnesty for up to 20 million illegals.
*Large increase in yearly worker visas & temporary workers program.
*Consultation with Mexico about building a border fence
*A short cut path to permanent residency & citizenship
*Social Security credit for work obtained illegally.
*Prevailing wage paid to guest workers.
*Border fence for 370 of the 2,000 mile border.
*Amnesty for businesses who hired illegals.
*Businesses forbidden to fire guest workers without just cause.
*Amnesty for taxes owed on any work after 3 years.
*Millions of former illegals eligible for earned-income tax credit.
*Former illegals eligible to bring extended family to USA .
*No requirement that English is official language of USA.

This is an absolute travesty & sell-out of Americans. These illegals are being given more consideration, more breaks than a US citizen. It is appalling.

*The Senate bill opens the door for up to 66 million immigrants in 20 years with extended families being allowed in. The country cannot handle that on-slaught.
*The increase in guest workers will take more jobs from Americans.
*Why do we need to consult with Mexico before building a paltry 370 mile fence? They are the instigators of this mass illegal immigration.
*Permanent residency or citizenship of up to 20 million illegals allows them access to all social services - costing upwards of a projected $50 billion a year.
*Social Security credit for working illegally rewards that crime. They used fake SSN #'s to obtain the job or stole someone's SSN #. But that's okay. All's forgiven.
* Prevailing wage mandatory for guest workers, when even American citizens are not guaranteed that.
*No punishment for businesses that knowingly hired illegals & help get us in this mess in the first place.
*Amnesty for income taxes for any work over 3 years. Even Americans don't get that.
*Earned-income tax credit for former illegals. Instead of paying into the system, they will be taking it out, considering most of the illegals are on the lowest ladder of income. It will cost us billions.
*The acknowledgement that English is the official language of this country will not be included.
*Eligibility for Medicaid will cost untold billions to taxpayers.
*Drastic social engineering when 66 million immigrants reshape the country.

The Senate bill is 600 pages, so we await further analysis of it. But based on the above, the Senate has proven that it cares diddly for Americans. They are traitors, sell-outs & swine. The only hope for American citizens is that this bill will be stopped or changed drastically when it comes before the House-Senate compromise committee. The House is our only hope of maintaining a rational immigration policy.

Meanwhile, those sell-out Senators who voted for this bill can go to hell - the sooner the better. Please contact your Representative & express your outrage at this sell-out. Your children & grand-children are the ones who will really suffer from the likes of a such law.

The best pay-back is for folks to not vote for any one already in office who voted for this bill. Even if the Senator is in your party, vote against him. They are corrupt already, so why give them more time in office?

The Senate passed a few amendments to its comprehensive immigration bill. One was good, one was token. One was outrageously voted down.

The Senate adapted an amendment citing English as the national language. A related amendment called English a unifying language, but allowing other languages. However, Harry Reid, the Democrat Minority Leader had this to say: "Although the intent may not be there, I really believe this amendment is racist. I believe it is directed at people who speak Spanish." Reid, not known as the brightest light bulb in the box & with a proclivity to make other outrageous statements, is an idiot. If Spanish speakers hope to succeed in this country, it is by learning the English language, not being shielded from it. It is a disservice to deny them this important tool. It is not , as the fool Reid states, racist. Reid maginalizes himself & the Democrat Party with each inane statement that oozes from his uneducated mouth.

Another amendment should have been a given. The Senate voted down an amendment to deny illegal immigrants who become permanent residents Social Security benefits for the time they were working illegally. That means that illegals will be credited in the Social Security system for work they illegally or fraudulently obtained. This is ridiculous. Social Security is in trouble enough without adding the burden of giving benefits to those whose were not at the time legally eligible for it. The former illegals are now being rewarded for their illegal conduct. Besides using phony Social Security cards, they also steal the SSN's of Americans - identity theft - causing grief to those whose SSN's were stolen. It's nice to see that they Senate cares more for foreign law-breakers than for the American citizens the Senate is supposed to represent. It's sickening.

Another amendment adapted was approval for construction of a 370 border fence/wall. Considering that the southern border is 2,000 miles long, this is merely a gratuitous nod to those who demand a wall along the entire border. But considering the open-borders mentality of the Senate - hey, it's a start.

Senate Immigration Bill Would Allow 100 Million New Legal Immigrants over the Next Twenty Years

If enacted, the Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act (CIRA, S.2611) would be the most dramatic change in immigration law in 80 years, allowing an estimated 103 million persons to legally immigrate to the U.S. over the next 20 years—fully one-third of the current population of the United States.

Much attention has been given to the fact that the bill grants amnesty to some 10 million illegal immigrants. Little or no attention has been given to the fact that the bill would quintuple the rate of legal immigration into the United States, raising, over time, the inflow of legal immigrants from around one million per year to over five million per year. The impact of this increase in legal immigration dwarfs the magnitude of the amnesty provisions.

In contrast to the 103 million immigrants permitted under CIRA, current law allows 19 million legal immigrants over the next twenty years. Relative to current law, then, CIRA would add an extra 84 million legal immigrants to the nation’s population.

The figure of 103 million legal immigrants is a reasonable estimate of the actual immigration inflow under the bill and not the maximum number that would be legally permitted to enter. The maximum number that could legally enter would be almost 200 million over twenty years—over 180 million more legal immigrants than current law permits.

Bush Border Speech

President Bush spoke tonight on illegal immigration, the highlight being stationing 6,000 National Guardsmen on the border on a temporary basis. The Guard will not apprehend or detain illegals crossing the border, but rather be used as support in surveillance & construction.

We find this idea feeble & of little real value. 6,000 Guardsmen on a 2,000 mile border does not do much, especially when they cannot detain illegals. Rather, we believe this is the President's salve, after so many complaints now coming in about border security. It is more a PR thing than any real attempt to secure the border.

The rest of Bush's message was more of the same, especially when he spoke of a temporary worker program & illegals going to the back line for citizenship. The Senate & House compromise that is expected in the coming weeks will show where they & the President really stand with immigration reform. We are not hopeful.

Predator Birds To Be Used In Border Control

The Bureau of Customs & Borders has announced that a trial project is being implemented to control our southern borders by using predator birds as "eyes-in-the-skies" & as an interdiction method when illegal aliens are discovered crossing the border.

Bureau spokesman Thomas Fulery said that if successful, the experimental project will become another valuable tool along the entire 2,000 mile southern border.

The idea was conceived at the Department of Genetic Engineering, UCLA. Small predator birds, such as the hawk & falcon were genetically altered to increase their size & aggressiveness. In a ten year research project, the birds eventually developed a 50 - 80 pound body weight. Their wing spans now reach 7 1/2 feet.

From the lab to the border:

A Border Patrol Officer studying at UCLA happened to come across the project & with some insight realized that these birds could be used on the border. The concept is simple. These birds would patrol the border night & day. They would carry day/night vision cameras which would broadcast to a ground monitoring unit. The Border Patrol in turn would send out officers to any suspicious areas where these birds spotted illegal aliens crossing the border.

These birds are trained to stalk any border crossers until the Border Patrol arrives. The large size & wing span of the birds would have such an intimidating factor that any border crossers would return to Mexico or passively wait until Border Patrol arrived.

Spokesman Fulery stated that the test period so far has been an enormous success with a record number of apprehensions. He did admit to some short-comings, such as losing control of some hawks. On their own, the hawks swooped down on the illegals & snatched some in their talons & flew them off to their very large nests up in the Muy Caliente Mountains. Fulery estimated that 17 Mexicans have thus far been taken by the birds. Though manhunts were initiated, only human bones have been found near the nests. In a moment of dark humor, Fulery stated, " The birds got a meal & the illegals got their just desert".

What would a day without illegal aliens really be like? In response to the May 1 "Great American Boycott" & "Day Without Immigrants" demonstrations across the country by illegal aliens & their advocates, Rep. Tom Tancredo of Colorado offers some ideas:

If illegal aliens stayed home—in Mexico, Guatemala, Brazil, and 100 other countries—the Border Patrol would have 3,500 fewer apprehensions (of the 12,000 who try each day).

Colorado taxpayers would save almost $3,000,000 in one day if illegals do not access any public services, because illegal aliens cost the state over $1 billion annually according to the best estimates.

Colorado’s K-12 school classrooms would have 131,000 fewer students if illegal aliens and the children of illegals were to stay home, and Denver high schools’ dropout rate would once again approach the national norm.

Colorado’s jails and prisons would have 10-percent fewer inmates, and Denver and many other towns would not need to build so many new jails to accommodate the overcrowding.

Our highway patrol and county sheriffs would have about far fewer DUI arrests and there would be a dramatic decline in rollovers of vanloads of illegal aliens on I-70 and other highways.

OBGYN wards in Denver would have 24-percent fewer deliveries and Los Angeles’s maternity-ward deliveries would drop by 40 percent and maternity billings to Medi-Cal would drop by 66 percent.

A Day Without Immigrants - Illegals En Mass In Protest For Rights

Today was the Great American Boycott, the "Day Without Immigrants" as it's organizers whimsically called it - illegal alien workers not showing up for their jobs, not buying American products , their children not going to school. They wanted to show Americans that we can't live without them - Na-na-na-na-na. So there. We'll show those Gringos.

Hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens & their advocates staged protests across the country to demand their "rights". We can only assume that by "rights" they mean blanket amnesty, which translates into immediate, unqualified legal status or American citizenship for all 11 - 20 million illegals in this country.

They carried mostly American flags this time, because the last series of protests didn't go over too well with Americans when these illegals marched with mostly Mexican flags with an in-your-face attitude. They suddenly love America & its flag. Don't bet on it. They also carried signs: "stop the discrimination", "end racism", "we demand human rights", "we want our rights", blah, blah, blah.

Okay - let's try to sort this out. Rights? What rights? These illegals have zero, zip, nada rights, in the sense that American citizens & legal immigrants have. These illegals broke US law by illegally crossing the border or overstaying their visas. By current law they are subject to fines, imprisonment & deportation. It is unlawful for businesses to hire them. Many illegals use false i.d.'s such as driver licenses, social security cards, green cards, identity theft, you name it. And they often use them to get benefits fraudulently. So now they compound their initial crime with more criminal activity. Hmmm - the more crimes they commit, the more "rights" they demand. Absurdville at its best.

How's this for their "rights" - THE ONLY RIGHTS THEY DESERVE ARE MIRANDA WARNING RIGHTS, like in the right to remain silent, the right to a lawyer.

Seriously folks, this is not a "rights" issue, although illegal alien advocates try to paint the issue with the broad stroke of the civil rights movement of the '60's & of Martin Luther King, or liken themselves to slaves or indentured servants who have been terribly abused & denied "human rights" as their placards pronounce. Having broken US law, they now seem to think they are entitled to non-existent rights that they have been manifestly & unfairly denied. Wrongo - like the squatter who breaks into your house, remains in the basement for a period of time & then demands the "right" to become a family member. The protesters also are fond of using the "racism" word because Americans have the gall to want control of the borders. But the racism card is just that - a means of intimidation. If anything, those protesters who chant La Raza (The Race) as a rallying cry are more inclined to toward racism.

Let us not forget that they demand immediate amnesty & permanent residency status while those who play by the rules spend years & lawyers fees trying to get it. They don't care about those folks. These protesters got into the country illegally & now want a free & immediate pass.

In 1986 the USA gave 3 million illegals legal status. Horrible mistake. It only encouraged others to follow over the border hoping for the same thing. So now we give these 11-20 million legal status & what do you thinks happens next? A new wave of illegals come into the country looking for their shot at amnesty. Amnesty is unworkable. There will never be an end to it. If they want legal status in this country, let them go back to their country & apply for legal entry like so many millions of others have done.

They can boycott & protest till the cows come home, but they will not get the "rights" they demand. We wonder if they have boycotted the free health care & other free social services they have been milking at taxpayer expense. We think not.

Georgia Enacts Tough Illegals Law

The state of Georgia approved a sweeping measure on Monday to crack down on illegal immigrants. The Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act, signed into law by Republican Gov. Sonny Perdue, denies many state services paid for by taxpayers to people who are in the United States illegally. It also forces contractors doing business with the state to verify the legal status of new workers, and requires police to notify immigration officials if people charged with crimes are illegal immigrants.

Other provisions of the Georgia law prohibit employers from claiming a tax deduction for wages of $600 or more paid to undocumented workers, impose prison terms for human trafficking and limit the services commercial companies can provide to illegal immigrants.

"It's our responsibility to ensure that our famous Georgia hospitality is not abused, that our taxpayers are not taken advantage of and that our citizens are protected," Perdue said before signing the law.

This is a stunning victory for anti-illegal immigration advocates. Georgia is the first state to enact such tough laws. Of course, the advocates of illegal immigration are having apoplexy right now - Georgia had the guts to not kowtow to them or play the political correctness game. Ironically, while Georgia seems able to come up with illegal immigration controls, Congress, particularly the Senate, can't get anywhere. They tried a thinly veiled attempt at amnesty, but that was shot down quickly.

We hope the other 49 states will quickly pass similar laws as Georgia. Then just maybe the out of control immigration problem will start correcting itself - no thanks to the Federal government.

So They Don't Take Jobs From Americans?

An employment service in Alabama sent 70 workers - Americans & predominantly black, many who lost their jobs due to the hurricane - to work for contractors immediately after hurricane Katrina hit. They were "urgently requested". After 2 weeks on the job they were let go & told "the Mexicans had arrived" and were willing to work for less.

"The men we sent to jobs in Alabama were local fellows looking for work, men who needed jobs," Mrs. Swope, who operates the employment service, said. "After driving 50 miles to the work sites where they had been promised $10 an hour, they discovered the employers had found substitutes who were willing to work for less."

"We had been told that 270 jobs might be available, and we could have filled every one of them with men from this area, most of whom lost their jobs because of the hurricane," she said. "When we told the guys they would not be needed, they actually cried ... and we cried with them. This is a shame."

An estimated 400,000 jobs were lost in the Gulf area due to the hurricane. An estimated 30,000 foreign workers came into the area to work from other states & south of the border, many who were illegals.

The Washington Times reports that some of the migrants who did get jobs in the Gulf states also were mistreated. Two class-action lawsuits are pending in federal court in New Orleans in which thousands of migrant workers said they never were paid, although many worked 12-hour shifts, seven days a week and were required to remove toxic contamination from hurricane-ravaged buildings.

There are two villains in this mess - business & the Federal government. The Department of Homeland Security temporarily suspended the sanctioning of employers who hired workers unable to document their citizenship. Not that this meant anything anyway - only 3 businesses were fined last year for such acts. President Bush also had suspended the Davis-Bacon Act, which requires local contractors to pay "prevailing" wages, in the areas hit by Katrina to encourage reconstruction and cleanup.

Greedy business, not satisfied with a reasonable profit margin, forever strives to get the cheapest labor it can, to the harm of American workers. Not satisfied with that, they even cheat the foreign & illegal labor they do employ.

The fact that illegals take away jobs from Americans is a no brainer. Even high school & college students are being squeezed out of the entry level job market, especially the part-time market, by foreign workers & illegals. With black unemployment high, we wonder why black organizations are not stepping up & complaining about these workers.

The U.S. government, i.e. Congress & the current Administration, is an abject failure in protecting American workers. Even more so - they don't care.

Senate Republicans Sell Out American Citizens

A group of Senate Republicans reached agreement Wednesday night on a compromise proposal that they hope can garner bipartisan support and bring passage of a bill on the future of the nation's 11- 20 million illegal immigrants. The draft compromise still needs support from the Democrats, but if they get it then the bill will go to the floor of the Senate for a vote.

The gist of the bill:

...Those who have lived in the country at least five years would be put on a path toward guaranteed citizenship, provided that they remained employed, paid fines and back taxes, and learned English, a senior Republican aide said. The aide said this group accounted for about 7 million of the roughly 11 million illegal immigrants believed to be living here.

...Those who have lived here for two to five years, said to number about three million, would have to leave the country briefly before reporting to an American port of entry, where they would be classified as temporary workers. They would be allowed to apply for citizenship but would have no guarantee of obtaining it. Those who did not would have to leave after participating in the temporary worker program for six years.

...The remaining one million or so, those who have lived in the country less than two years, would be required to leave. They could apply for temporary worker status but would not be guaranteed it.

This is a pure sell-out of the vast majority of Americans who are looking for real immigration reform. They show absolute contempt for the citizens they are supposed to represent. The bill is a charade, a smoke cover which hides the real intent of the bill - amnesty for every single illegal in the country. Not only amnesty, but citizenship.

There are too many things wrong with this bill - it would be laughable if the issue was not so serious. For starters, the Senate has no clue how many illegals are here. They are saying 11 million, but estimates elsewhere reach over 20 million. The administration of such a program would be imponderable indeed. The budget would be in the billions, the staffing in the tens of thousands. The blatant document fraud committed by illegals who can't prove they were in the country for x number of years would be enormous. Where is the enforcement coming from to make sure such fraud doesn't happen? Where is the enforcement to make those in the country less than 2 years leave? What is enough proof that they were in the country for x years? A phony phone bill?

The bill would require illegals to pay a fine & back taxes for those who worked off the books or cheated on any taxes they did pay. How is the government going to discover how much they owed on taxes if their pay was off the books? What fine are they given? And how are these mostly poor illegals going to pay such fines & back taxes?

The bill would also require proficiency in English. This is the most laughable provision. 11-20 million illegals suddenly enrolling in crash English courses. Who pays for it, the illegals, or does the government use more tax dollars to teach them? And how are they tested & by who? What is proficient?

Those illegals in the country 2-5 years must leave the USA "briefly" - a euphemism for stepping back into Mexico for 5 minutes, then back into the USA, where they would be given a six year guest worker worker visa - although there will be no way to check if they actually have a job lined up. At the end of 6 years if they do not achieve citizenship, they must leave the USA. But now we are back to the beginning -they won't leave, so they become - guess what? - illegals again!

Those in the country less than 2 years would be required to leave. Righto. They will gladly go back to the cesspool of Mexico. The argument is that we can't deport all 11 million illegals - it would be split families & be unenforceable. But now we are back to that - tracking down & deporting the 1-3 million illegals that are in this 3rd category. So now it's okay.

In 1986 amnesty was given to 3 million illegals. It was a fiasco by all accounts. It only encouraged millions more to enter illegaling, hoping for their own amnesty. What do you think will happen now - millions at the Mexican border just itching to get over the border for their own amnesty down the road.

Let's not forget that with 11-20 million new citizens comes their right to government social services - welfare, food stamps, etc, etc. The mostly poor illegals will be a further drain on these services & will by far outstrip any taxes these new citizens contribute.

Incredulously, the bill does not address real border security! The Senate is against any walls along the border. Instead, they are talking about a "virtual" wall -meaning sensors, cameras, etc. This is ridiculous. A wall put up in San Diego caused a significant drop in border crossings there. Rather than patrolling a wall, Border Patrol will be put into the more dangerous face-to-face confrontations with illegals, drug runners, gangs & criminals. There is no increase in border manpower. We will have again in a few years another 11 million illegals to deal with. One thing we are certain about - these Senators are not virtual idiots. They are the real thing.

One other point - with millions of illegals receiving citizenship, this opens the door for them to apply under the family reunification act to bring other family members into the country, who then can apply to bring their family members in, who then can apply to bring...well, you get the idea. There is no end. It is known as "chain migration".

These so-called Senators are in the pockets of business with its cheap labor & the pro-illegal immigration lobby. The only lobby they are not listening too are the American citizens. Sell-out is being polite with these Senators. This being a family-oriented site, we'll refrain from the neat words to describe them. Contact your Congressman & Senator & let them know you have a voice too.

UPDATE 7 Apr: The Hagel/Martinez amnesty amendment was defeated this morning in the Senate. The vote to close debate on the amendment failed 36-62. This is a great victory for America & Americans. But we are sure our elected representatives will try again to kowtow to illegal aliens.

A Country Unto Themselves

The estimated illegal population in the USA ranges from 11 million to 20 million & growing rapidly. If these numbers are compared to the population of countries throughout the world, the results are stunning.

An 11 million illegal population is larger than 154 of the 227 recognized countries. Larger than Greece, Portugal, Hungary, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Israel, Jordan, Ireland, New Zealand, Belgium, Kuwait...well, you get the idea.

A 20 million illegal population is larger than 175 of the 227 recognized countries. It is tied with Australia, larger than the above countries & larger than Syria, The Netherlands, Guatemala, Chile, Cambodia, Ecuador, Cuba...well, you get the idea.

Ten to twenty percent of Mexico is...well, illegally in the USA!

Twenty five percent of births in the USA are now to foreign born mothers.

Population growth in the USA is now primarily due to immigration, legal & illegal. At current growth rates the projected USA population in 2050 will be 400 million.

Houston...we have problem here.

Thank you Congress, thank you President Bush for doing nothing about it.

Illegals & Fraudulent Documents

Necessity is the mother of invention. In the case of illegal immigrants, necessity is the mother of counterfeiting. The photos below are from Michelle Malkin's Immigration Blog. These are just a paltry sample of the vast underground of counterfeit documents that pervades the illegal alien "community" (for lack of a better word).

Advocates of illegal immigrants use the phrase "undocumented worker" to describe illegal aliens - sounds nicer. However, as can be seen in the photos, they are certainly not undocumented. They are brimming over with documents - that just happen to be counterfeit.

Illegal aliens show no respect for this country's laws in the first place by entering illegally. They further demonstrate their disdain for our laws by using phoney driver licenses, social security cards, employment indentification, resident alien cards (green cards), etc. Comes with the territory of being an illegal alien. One crime leads to another, & another. The documents are not only used to establish a false identity, but also to outright defraud government & tax payers of benefits they are not entitled to.

Document counterfeiting is a pervasive enterprise. Illegal alien demand for such documents feeds & expands the criminal element that provides those phony documents. False identity can have a national security implication if those with such documents have access to sensitive areas of the country.

The common use of counterfeit documents by illegal aliens is a side of the immigration issue that few are really aware of. Few employers or others who require identification are knowledgeable enough to be able to readily identify the counterfeits.

Immigrant Students Assault American Flag

In Whittier, California, area high school students the other day decided to walk out of school & demonstrate against proposed Congressional legislation on stricter immigration controls. They decided that assaulting the American flag would win them points with Americans, we suppose. They took down an American flag & re-flew it upside down, beneath a Mexican flag that was hoisted up.

This is the attitude of many of our distinguished "immigrants" - Screw the USA. They are here only for the money, the benefits, the escape from the dump that is known as Mexico. They have absolutely no loyalty nor respect for this country. La Raza - The Race - that is their only bond, that is their war cry. They are here to get what they can, nothing else. You already see it in other pro-immigration demonstrations, along with the curses, screams of racist America, blah, blah, blah. Expect more of this as the immigration debates continue to heat up.

We wonder how many of these students are illegal aliens & wonder why they cannot appreciate the fact that if still in Mexico their education would be quite different from what it is now.

The Charade Guest Worker Program

President Bush has been pushing hard for a temporary guest worker program for illegal aliens. The Senate Judiciary Committee is now debating the various forms this program should take. Proposals included issuing worker permits good for 3 - 6 years, renewable; some proposals requiring the worker to return to their country for a year, then applying for permanent status & eventually citizenship; others allowing the worker to remain & follow the same citizenship path. Businesses & immigrant advocates are all for a guest worker program. Whatever the Senate may conjure up as a program, it will be a disaster for the nation.

The White House issued forth this part of Bush's plan:

"The President proposes that the Federal Government offer temporary worker status to undocumented men and women now employed in the United States and to those in foreign countries who have been offered employment here. The workers under temporary status must pay a one-time fee to register in the program, abide by the rules, and return home after their period of work expires. There would be an opportunity for renewal. In the future, only people outside the U.S. may join the temporary worker program, and there will be an orderly system in place to address the needs of workers and companies.

American Workers Come First: Employers must make every reasonable effort to find an American to fill a job before extending job offers to foreign workers.
Workplace Enforcement of Immigration Laws: Enforcement against companies that break the law and hire illegal workers will increase.
Economic Incentives to Return Home: The U.S. will work with other countries to allow aliens working in the U.S. to receive credit in their nations' retirement systems and will support the creation of tax-preferred savings accounts they can collect when they return to their native countries.
Fair and Meaningful Citizenship Process: Some temporary workers will want to remain in America and pursue citizenship. They should not receive an unfair advantage over those who have followed the law, and they will need to be placed in line for citizenship behind those who are already in line. Those who choose the path of citizenship will have an obligation to learn the facts and ideals that have shaped America's history."

This is all meaningless mumbo jumbo. Sounds nice, but with 11-20 million illegals in the country, the program is doomed to failure. Some things to consider:

* Do you really think Business will make every effort to find an American to fill a job, when they are free to pay paltry wages to illegals?
* Three businesses were charged last year for hiring illegals. This is enforcement?
* As happened in the past, workers savings accounts in foreign countries have been prone to disappear by their corrupt governments.
* The notion that some workers will want to remain in the country & pursue citizenship is ridiculous. Try almost all of these workers will want to remain. Big deal - they have to learn what shaped America's history. What a tough requirement on the road to citizenship.

Further points to consider:

* How many guests workers? 500,000? 1,000,000? What do we do with the rest of the 11-20 million still illegal? Or do we make them all guest workers?
* What about family? Can they stay as well? Or ship them out? If they stay, they are just adding to the drain of social services by them.
* What about children born to "guest workers"? They US citizens, as it stands now by law? If so, Christ himself could not deport "guest workers" after their permit expires.
* What happens when "guest workers" must leave at the end of their permit? Will they leave. Don't count on it. They are not going to go back to poverty in their country. They'll stay & again become the illegals they started out as. Their is enough evidence that thousands of tourists on visas overstay its expiration & become illegals. And they haven't even established roots in this country.
* What happens when they lose their job? Can they have a work permit that allows them to go job to job? If not, they become illegals again.
* Will they be required to pay into social security, declare exemptions & follow other taxation laws? Will Businesses be required to stop paying them "under the table"?
* Will the Federal government establish minimum wage criteria for woefully under-paid & exploited guest workers?
* Will guest workers be eligible for health care, workers comp, unemployment benefits, etc?
* How will the Federal government identify each guest worker? What documentation will be required from them? Many illegals live with false i.d.'s
* The program allows those in the country after a certain period to apply for guest worker status. How does the Federal government determine when they got here?

This is just the tip of the iceberg floating towards the ship of state Titanic.

Business, Congressmen, the President & others perpetuate the myth of "jobs Americans won't do". The reality is that business is looking at the profit bottom line - cheap labor. A Mexican coming from his poverty ridden country is glad to make the $5 an hour, that would otherwise cost business $8-$12 if an American worked it. This country is perpetuating a profit driven worker underclass.

Before any "guest worker" program is considered, first the borders must be aggressively & completely controlled to stop the flow of illegals, criminals & potential terrorists, otherwise the guest worker program will be meaningless. Second, Businesses employing illegals should be specifically targeted with criminal & civil charges - not just the 3 a year businesses to date. Third, minimum wages should be mandatory in the agricultural business & other cooly-wage paying businesses. "Under the table" salaries should be ended with strict enforcement.
Then maybe we can consider some type of limited guest worker program.

An unfettered guest worker program will become a bureaucratic nightmare with a budget in the billions, wrought with fraud & corruption. The Federal government has already admitted that it's tracking databases are a joke & will not even begin to be ready by 2010.

It is time to back off on all the talk about a guest worker program until the problem of illegal immigration is dealt with. Such a program is amnesty by another name.

Illegals March Again for "Rights"

Illegal aliens & their advocates marched once again throughout the country, demonstrating against Congressional-proposed stricter immigration controls. In Los Angles 500,000 demonstrated. It was a very large turn out indeed. 50,000 demonstrated in Denver, 20,000 in Phoenix & 10,000 in Milwaukee. The demonstrations are expected to culminate April 10 in a "National Day of Action" organized by labor, immigration, civil rights and religious groups.

They were primarily demanding that Congress end its attempt to make illegal immigration a felony and to build more walls along the border. "We construct your schools. We cook your food," rapper Jorge Ruiz said after performing at a Dallas rally that drew 1,500.

Again, we are adamantly for strict control of immigration, legal or illegal. Illegals demand their "rights". But they have no "rights", not as US citizens, anyway. They were not invited into this country. Who are they to take it upon themselves to break this country's laws by entering illegally, then demanding "rights"? Who are they to jump in front of a line of thousands waiting patiently to enter this country legally & then demand their "rights"? Who are they to forge documents to obtain a fraudulent identity, cheat on taxes due the government, get free health care at taxpayer expense & further crowd our schools with their children?

How are we to know the working illegal entering the country from the terrorists, the criminals & the drug runners who enter the country alongside them? How are we to control the rise in TB & other diseases they bring with them when they cannot be monitored at the border? How do we explain to families of violent crime that the illegal crossed back into Mexico & the Mexican government refuses to extradite him?

The borders must be walled. Illegal entry into the country must be criminalized. Businesses must be heavily penalized for hiring illegals - only three were fined last year. Birthright citizenship must end. All government benefits & aid must end for illegals. Any guest worker programs must be limited,monitored & enforced. Cities that declare themselves sanctuary cities for illegals must be denied Federal aid. Vigorous enforcement & control of the borders must be enhanced.

Maybe then we will start to regain control of our borders, our national sovereignty & our national security.

Illegals Wrongly Demand "Rights"

An estimated 100,000 demonstrated in Chicago the other day in protest to pending Federal legislation that would tighten the U.S.-Mexican border, increase enforcement of illegal aliens & criminalize illegal presence in the country.

Rep. Luis Gutierrez, a Democrat, said, "This is our country, and this is where we will stay." Gov. Rod Blagojevich addressed the crowd in Spanish saying, "You are not criminals. You are workers."

What these demonstrators, as well as the Governor, fail to grasp is that illegals in this country should have no "rights". They are, after all, in this country illegally. It matters not whether they are only here for jobs & wish only to live peacefully. They are in the country illegally. It costs government in education, health care & other social services. They are in fact taking taxpayer dollars that could be better spent on - dare we say it - legal citizens.

Add to this the predominantly cash only pay from their jobs, the failure to pay taxes, the jobs taken away from - dare we say it - legal citizens, the inherent i.d. theft & fraudulent documents that comes with being illegal in this country, not to mention the sudden swarming of towns that can not handle the massive influx of illegals, & there is every reason to wonder why every Federal agent was not at the demonstration arresting the illegals there.

Let's not forget the terrorsts, criminals, thugs, gang members & drug runners that cross that same border as the poor working class illegal. Nor should we forget the unchecked diseases that cross that border.

Illegal rights? Yeah, right.

Educating Illegal Alien Children

The Supreme Court made a landmark ruling about educating illegal alien children. The result was profound in its consequences. It not only put budgetary strains on many districts, but has encouraged illegals to enter the country, knowing their children will be educated while they work illegally. Each child can cost a school district over $10,000 a year - all taxpayer money. The costs jump dramatically when special needs illegal alien children are educated - upwards of $80,000 a year per child. This is another incentive to enter the country, since most of their home countries do not have special needs programs.

The following is a summary of the ruling & what school districts are prohibited from asking prospective students & their parents:

Plyler vs. Doe 1982- A Summary -

In 1982, the Supreme Court rules in Plyler v. Doe , 457 U.S. 202 (1982), that public schools were prohibited from denying immigrant students access to a public education. The Court stated that undocumented (illegals) children have the same right to a free public education as U.S. citizens and permanent residents. Undocumented (illegals) immigrant students are obligated, as are all other students, to attend school until they reach the age mandated by state law.

Public schools and school personnel are prohibited under Plyler from adopting policies or taking actions that would deny students access to education based on their immigration status.
Based on the Supreme Court's ruling, public school districts should consider the following practices in working with ELL students:

School officials may not require children to prove they are in this country legally by asking for documents such as green cards, citizenship papers, etc. They may only require proof that the child lives within the school district attendance zone, just as they might for any other child.
Schools should be careful of unintentional attempts to document students' legal status which lead to the possible "chilling" of their Plyler rights.

The following school practices are prohibited:
Barring access to a student on the basis of legal status or alleged legal status.
Treating students disparately for residency determination purposes on the basis of their undocumented status.
Inquiring about a student's immigration status, including requiring documentation of a student's legal status at initial registration or at any other time.
Making inquiries from a student or his/her parents which may expose their legal status.

Federal Program Requirements - Federal education programs may ask for information from parents and students to determine if students are eligible for various programs, such as Emergency Immigrant Education. If that is the case, schools should ask for voluntary information from parents and students or find alternative ways of identifying and documenting the eligibility of students. However, schools are not required to check or document the immigrant status of each student in the school or of those students who may be eligible for such programs. The regulations do not require alien registration numbers or documentation of immigration status.

Social Security Numbers - Schools should not require students to apply for Social Security numbers. If schools decide to pass out Social Security registration forms to assist the Social Security Administration, they must tell parents and students, in appropriate languages, that the application forms are merely a service and it is up to the parents and students whether the applications are actually filed. They should stress that schools will not monitor the filing of these applications. Additionally, schools should not require any student to supply a social security number.

School Lunch Programs - In order to qualify for Free or Reduced Lunch Programs, all applicants are required to furnish either of the two following types of information:
Social Security numbers of all household members over the age of 21, should they have one
For all household members above the age of 21 who do not have a Social Security number, an indication of the application that he or she does not possess one.
If a student or household members over the age of 21 do not have a Social Security number, "none" should be written in that space or another identifying number could be assigned by the school.

Parents and students should be reminded that the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) prohibits any outside agency, including the Immigration and Naturalization Services (INS), from getting this information without obtaining permission from the student's parents or a valid court order.
School lunch programs are interested in determining household income, not in determining a student's legal status.

Communication with INS - Any communication to INS initiated by a school or school official concerning a specific student is prohibited. If parents and/or students have questions about their immigration status, school personnel should refer them to legal service organizations, immigrant rights organizations, or local immigration attorneys. They should not advise immigrants to go directly to INS offices without first getting proper advice from an attorney or immigrant rights advocate.

Requests for information by INS - School personnel are prohibited from cooperating with INS in any way that may jeopardize an immigrant students' right of access (with the exception of the administration of F-1 and J-1 visas). INS requests for information can only be released upon the presentation of a valid subpoena. All school personnel should be advised of this policy. If a subpoena is presented, it may be advisable to check with an attorney to properly check into the validity of the subpoena.

Requests by INS to enter a school - School personnel should not cooperate with INS in any manner that jeopardizes immigrant students and their right of access. The school principal should meet with INS officials in the front office with a credible witness present, deny the INS officials consent, and request to see a legal warrant. If a warrant is presented, the principal should determine that it:
Lists the school by its correct name and address
Lists students by name
Be signed by a judge
Be less than ten days old
Be served by an INS officer with proper identification.

To protect other students in the school, the principal should bring the INS officials to the office and request that they remain there while the named student(s) is brought to them. The principal should immediately inform the Superintendent and school attorney.
School District Personnel should always consult an attorney to clarify their duties and responsibilities under Plyler. This document is intended solely for guidance.

Duh Duh Dallas School Board

Joe May, a member of the Dallas school board has proposed that college-educated illegal aliens be hired who qualify under an emergency teaching certification program to help ease the shortage of bi-lingual teachers in the disrict. The school board is set to at least discuss the proposal.

Nice. This is the same district which required that all its school principals learn Spanish in 3 years or be fired.

There are just a few things screwy with May's proposal - the first being that it is a violation of Federal law to knowingly hire illegal aliens. Unless, of course, the Dallas school board decides to vote for violation of the law. Good luck with that one, Joe. Secondly, try hiring some of those college-educated people that are born in this country - you know - Americans. There are still some left in this country, Joe. Thirdly, if the government would actually do something about the invasion horde at our borders, you wouldn't need so many bi-lingual teachers. And finally, taxpayers are getting tired of paying for people who don't belong in this country in the first place. They should at least have the decency to learn English before they hop the border.

House Passes Stricter Immigration Reform

The U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 4437, the Border Protection, Anti-Terrorism, and Illegal Immigration Control Act of 2005, by a vote of 239-182. The bill now goes to the Senate. The Senate is drafting its own bill & it remains to be seen if the provisions in House bill will stand.

Key provisions of the House bill include:

1. Making it a criminal felony to remain illegally(unlawful presence)in the U.S. Illegals would now face jail time as well as being barred from future legal status & re-entry into the U.S.
2. Anyone or any organization who aids an illegal Âto reside in or remainÂ in the United States knowingly or with Âreckless disregardÂ as to the individualÂs legal status would be liable for criminal penalties.
3. Expedited removal of illegals apprehended within 100 miles of the border & within 14 days of crossing, rather than appearing before an immigration judge.
4. An additional 700 miles of multi-layer fencing along the border.
5. State and local law enforcement are authorized to enforce federal immigration laws. State and local governments which refuse to participate would be subject to the loss of federal funding.
6. Document fraud would be considered an aggravated felony, as well as increased penalties for crimes of violence by illegals.
7. The visa lottery program, which allows 50,000 immigrants each year from countries around the world to permanently reside in the United States, is eliminated.
8. Creates a new electronic employment verification system modeled on the Basic Pilot Program. The pilot program was voluntary & few business used it. The new program is mandatory.

Unfortunately, the rescinding of birthright citizenship was removed from the bill. This is a key tool to dissuade illegals from giving birth after 5 minutes into the U.S. & having it become a U.S. citizen automatically.

Nevertheless, the bill is far & away a big step in finally doing something about the massive illegal invasion of our country & the negative impact that invasion has caused. It will also help in the fight against terrorists entering the country. But there is still a long way to go. It is unclear if any of the bill's provisions will survive a compromise from the Senate. The Senate is wimpish stopping illegal immigration.

Naturally, Mexico & other Latino countries are livid, especially with the border fence. The same old racist blah blah is coming from them, as it is from organizations & people who support illegal immigration.

The House bill should have included a provision for a supply of crying towels for these hand-wringers.

In-State Tuition Bill Defeated In Mass.

Massachusetts House members last night decisively defeated a controversial bill to extend in-state tuition rates at public colleges to illegal aliens. The defeat was a surprise to advocates for in-state tuition rates to illegal aliens, since they expected the bill to pass easily. However, advocates against the bill organized a strong phone call, letter writing & e-mail campaign to legislators. Apparently, the effort succeeded, as the bill was roundly defeated.

Representative Marie Parente, a Milford Democrat, who voted against the bill said, "You're going to educate people to take our own technical jobs, the ones our students need?" She said immigrants who are here illegally should not be given advantages over residents who struggle as she did when she was a child. Parente was a foster child and attended college later in life because she could not afford to go right out of high school.

The bill would have granted in-state tuition rates for illegals who completed high school in Massachusetts & had been here 3 years (illegally). The student would also have to sign a paper stating that he/she would seek U.S. citiizenship (wink, wink).

We applaud the Massachusetts legislators in defeating this bill. There are already too many states which allow in-state tuition rates for illegals. In effect, illegals who break our laws in the first place by coming into the country illegally are further rewarded over our own natural born citizens. This is crazy.

An American student who lives in a state next to a state that provides in-state tuition for illegals, must pay the out-of-state tuition rate - usual double the in-state rate. But an illegal, who has no allegiance to this country, who broke this country's laws in the first place, is given the much cheaper rate.

Why do some legislators & illegal alien advocates put more concern & effort into the illegals amongst us then to their own citizens? They show compassion & concern for the illegals. That's nice, but it is misdirected. The compassion & concern should be toward Americans who cannot afford college.

Providing in-state tuition is really contrary to Federal law. There is such a thing called an F-1 student visa. A student in another country who wishes to go to an American college must first apply for an F-1 visa. It is a long process. The college the student wishes to attend must prove that he/she has been accepted into it. The student must pay the full cost of tuition. If approved, the student is allowed into the USA to attend the college. Upon completion of studies, the student must return to his/her country.

The illegal student in this country has in effect cheated the process, cut in front of the line. No need for lengthy F-1 visa processing - just illegally cross the border, then continue the cheating by going around the F-1 visa requirements. The illegal by definition is a cheater - not waitng his/her turn to enter the country, by-passing the F-1 requirements, phony drivers license, phony social security cards, phony this, phony that, not paying taxes. It's time to drop the hammer on them, not coddle them as their advocates want to do.

Although he was ticketed 11 times for speeding and other driving infractions by the Highway Patrol and police in High Point and Winston-Salem, none of the traffic stops resulted in his detention as an illegal immigrant, a prior deportee or a potential threat to public safety.

That's true even though at least one of his stops in High Point occurred after police officers suspected they'd interrupted a crime in progress when Hernandez pulled out of a closed car sales lot one night in December 2000.

Neighbors in two cities say he didn't arouse their suspicions. Officials at the company that sold him a home in Winston-Salem say it wasn't their job to check his immigration status.

His employer says Hernandez's documentation checked out "absolutely fine," although -- in hindsight -- some might have been forged.

Police now contend that Hernandez's seemingly nondescript facade hid a night burglar, a masked man with a Spanish accent who terrorized women in Greensboro, High Point and Winston-Salem in a series of eight sexual assaults between May 2004 and Feb. 22, 2005.

Today, Hernandez is in the Forsyth County jail awaiting trial in Forsyth and Guilford counties. Federal immigration authorities also have issued a detainer on him, meaning they want to deport him again once he is either acquitted of the state charges or is convicted and serves prison time.

Local police often are deceived similarly by illegal immigrants posing as legal residents or visitors and perhaps hiding a criminal background, according to some law enforcement officials.

These incidents highlight a dangerous disconnect between the various levels of government in the United States and a gaping hole in its defenses against all sorts of terrorism, said Randy Jones, of the Alamance County Sheriff's Department, a local police agency that is particularly aggressive in combating crime linked to illegal immigration.

"I'm not saying that we think everybody who is doing this is a terrorist," Jones said. "But you don't have to be extremely intelligent to figure out where this all could lead if it can be done by some Juan Doe who might not even be able to read or write.

"What's to stop an al-Qaida operation from doing exactly the same kind of thing, only with more financing so they can do it even better? This isn't anti-Hispanic or anti-immigrant. It's anti-crime, and we better get a handle on it."

Jones said his department does background checks on people of questionable nationality who have been detained for minor crimes. The cumbersome federal system can take up to two weeks to respond, but too often, the answer is that the person is an illegal immigrant with a criminal history, Jones said.

"They say you don't have the guy you thought. He's this other person and he's a criminal, illegal alien who was deported on drug trafficking charges," Jones said. "But by then, he's bonded out (on the local charge) and long gone."

Jones noted the federal government has four agents to handle immigration violations in the state. The overworked agents concentrate on serious felons, not bad drivers.

Besides numerous driving infractions, Hernandez apparently had a clean record other than his two deportations, one in 1997 from Greenwood, S.C., and the other in October 2002 from Douglas, Ariz., near the Mexican border.

Hernandez apparently arrived first in the Piedmont Triad in the late 1990s as a teenager.

He accumulated documents that indicated he was an approved guest worker, including a green card, a social security card and an N.C. identification card issued by the state Division of Motor Vehicles. He later was able to get a full-fledged driver's license from the DMV, despite his bad driving record.

His documents checked out as valid in the screening done by his most recent employer, North State Flexibles, said Judy Blaine, the company's director of human resources.

Hernandez passed three background checks during the course of two stints working as a press operator for the printing company and a temporary agency that initially brought him to the Greensboro firm, Blaine said.

His income was $850 a week, Hernandez said in court papers.

But even though Hernandez's documentation checked out, some of it still might have been fraudulent, according to Insight, the screening agency that checked him for North State Flexibles.

The facade that Hernandez prepared also was good enough to deceive bankers holding the keys to home ownership. He was able to buy a house in Winston-Salem in February 2004 with a loan backed by the FHA, only 16 months after another arm of the federal government -- the U.S. Border Patrol -- deported him after stopping him in Arizona.

Mulvaney Homes, developer of the North Oaks neighborhood, where Hernandez bought his house, said Hernandez secured his loan through a lender the real estate company doesn't work with often. "We expect the lender to do their job at the approval level," said John Lewis, an executive with Mulvaney Homes.

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, which supervises the FHA program, prohibits banks from giving federally guaranteed loans to illegal immigrants. Former neighbors in the North Oaks development and on Elmhurst Avenue in High Point said they never questioned the immigration status of Hernandez and his wife, who have two children.

Hernandez's lawyer cautions against passing judgment on his involvement in the sexual assaults before he gets his day in court. The only evidence police have against Hernandez so far seems to be DNA from the various assaults, which was analyzed by the state crime lab, said Paul James, of the Forsyth County Public Defender Office.

But if nothing else, Hernandez's story illustrates how easy it is for an illegal immigrant to assume the rights and privileges of U.S. citizenship with very little risk of detection, even in the face of some fairly reckless behavior behind the wheel and run-ins with local law enforcement.

In 11 traffic stops between mid-1998 and this past June, Hernandez was charged by police four times for speeding, seven times for having no driver's license or a false license, three times for not having proper vehicle registration, and once each for running a red light, driving a vehicle not properly registered, displaying an improper license and having no insurance.

Police in Winston-Salem said after his arrest that they linked Hernandez to the assaults after he became a suspect in a burglary investigation in August. He was arrested in October and charged with four assaults in Winston-Salem on the basis of a DNA sample he surrendered in that investigation.

Greensboro and High Point soon filed charges against him for four more assaults in those cities. One of the Winston-Salem assaults occurred on the street where Hernandez lived before moving to his new house in North Oaks, according to court records.

Two High Point officers spotted his 1996 van pulling out of a closed car lot on Ward Avenue in the dead of night. One officer pulled over Hernandez and an unidentified passenger, and the other checked the business for evidence of a break-in but found nothing visibly amiss. The officers ticketed Hernandez for having no driver's license, his third such offense in three years, but apparently didn't look into Hernandez's background any further.

It's hard to say whether they should have, said High Point police Lt. Angela Tackett. "I'm not going to second-guess another officer; it depends on the circumstances of the situation and the officer handling the case," Tackett said. "With the growing Hispanic population, if you do that to everyone you stopped, you'd spend your entire day trying to figure out if someone is here illegally."

Rescind Birthright Citizenship Now

Birthright citizenship is the concept whereby anyone born in the USA is automatically a citizen. It matters not whether one was born into a family who had been here for hundreds of years or one who was born 5 minutes after the mother crossed illegally into the country. They are both automatically US citizens.

The birthright concept derives from the 14th Amendment to the Constitution. Section 1 reads in part, "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside." This was written into the Constitution after the Civil War only as a means to give black slaves citizenship which they had not had before.

Since then, the concept has been expanded to include that mother-to-be crossing the border.

It is time to end it.

Birthright citizenship has been abused to the extreme. Illegals coming into the country are well aware of birthright citizenship. One sure way to get a permanent foothold into the US is to bear a child in the US. These illegals, who otherwise have no allegiance to the US, have had no time or inclination to contribute to the country, give birth to what are known as "anchor babies". These babies, in effect, anchor the family to the US for good. About 500,000 anchor babies are born each year to illegals in the US. It adds up.

An anchor baby, as a US citizen now, is entitled to all health care & food stamps & other social service funding that any other "American" is entitled to. And that extends to the babies illegal parents, naturally. There is none to zero chance that the illegal parents will be deported since their child is a US citizen. And don't you know the illegals know it. The birthrate for illegals in the US is astounding. When the child reaches age 21 it can, as a US citizen, sponsor the parents & siblings for permanent, legal residency which leads to citizenship for them. These relatives, in turn, can now sponsor aunty or uncle or cousin or granny, who in turn sponsor their own relatives. This is called "chain immigration" & it is a backdoor way to bring in their whole country, primarily Mexico, to the US.

If you read the 14th Amendment it states that a person born in the country, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, is a citizen. The illegal parents are not subject to the jurisdiction of the US or its states. They are foreign nationals under allegiance to & subject to the laws of their own country. The 14th does not apply to them.

It should be noted that it is not just illegals who latch onto this birthright scheme. Tourists seem to vacation in the US in the 9th month of their pregnancy. They are not fools. They know how to play the game & get the gift of citizenship. What is astounding is that, through treaties, diplomats, etc of foreign countries do not have the privilege of birthright citizenship. If a French diplomat's wife gives birth in Kansas - that child holds no claim to automatic citizenship. Go figure.

Rescinding birthright citizenship will help stem the attraction for illegals to come to the US purely for this bonus. Taxpayer dollars & services will not then go to those who do not deserve them. Other countries have rescinded birthright citizen. The US should follow.

There are 2 bills in Congress addressing this birthright issue. One calls for a Constitutional Amendment - this will never happen. The other would amend the Immigration & Nationality Act to deny birthright citizenship to those who parents are not US citizens. This makes sense & is the easier to do. But Congress in its glorious gutless & politically correct manner will probably not pass the bill. They couldn't stand up to the screams of racism & threats that will surely follow by the immigration crowd. God help America.

Paris Burning - A Warning For America

As of this post, it is the 12th night of riots in France. The trouble has now spread to over 300 towns. Over 3,000 cars have been burned, along with a school, parking garage & other buildings. Amazingly, only one person has died so far.

The trouble started after 2 boys were accidentally electrocuted when they hid in a transformer, avoiding police. The surrounding area is largely Muslim - predominantly North African. The rioters are unorganized so far, but we expect some opportunists to change that. The rioters are predominantly young Muslim males. The French government has been an abysmal failure in curtailing the riots thus far. Additionally, there is underreported news that there has been rioting by Muslims in Denmark, too.

There are 5 million Muslims living in France. Unemployment is significant in their population. The French welfare system has entitlements for those who are unemployed. The Muslim population lives mostly in large, poor enclaves in French cities & towns. Some attribute the rioting with the unemployment situation amongst Muslims. To a point, maybe so. But why now & not sooner. Afterall, conditions have been the same for years now.

We think there is a more direct reason for the rioting. If true, it does not bode well for America: lack of assimilation, coupled with a Muslim population which rejects all things not Islamic. We think Muslims have a disdain for their host country, France, because it exhibited weakness & corruption before & after the Iraq War.

In America there is an on-going, quick shifting of demographics due to the large number of legal & illegal immigrants coming into the country. They are primarily Hispanic/Latino, but there are also large numbers of Chinese, Vietnamese, Somalians & others. We are talking over 2 million a year coming into the country to live. That is a large challenge to any society. Rather than a slowed down immigration policy that gives the immigrants, & the communities they settle in, time for assimilation, we have instead communities being overrun by the sudden influx. We have immigrants settling into one area of a city or state. Enclaves of culture-specific immigrants are thus created. They become separate & apart from the rest of the city or town. There is no need to assimilate into the culture of the host country - America - because they are a de facto nation within a nation. The language, the culture, the businesses, the schools are all within their culture. There is no inducement to expand themselves into the greater American culture. And we detect a distain for most things American amongst some of the immigrants.

What has resulted in America is a mutli-cultural mindset that not only celebrates diversity, but caters to the unassimilated. Drivers license tests are in 10 languages, report cards are sent out in 6 languages, press 1 for English...2 for Spanish...3 for Mandarin.. & on & on. Rather than celebrating diversity, we are purposely celebrating isolation of cultures.

America is great when its people share a common thread. As it stands now, we are becoming so many spools of thread that there may indeed come a time when the French riots will have been seen as a warning to the United States - a warning that not only should our states be united, but so should our people. Without serious reduction in legal immigration & without serious efforts to stem the invasion of illegals, without giving immigrants the time & chance to assimilate into the country, we will have not learned the lessons of the French riots.

Illegal Aliens - Who They Are, What They Bring & What They Take

Illegals aliens are depicted as poor, primarily Mexican, workers who come to America to escape the poverty & low wages of their country & to better benefit their own & their families lives. They are depicted as hard workers who only bring their labor & look for no trouble - they only want to get on with their lives. They are that, but they are so much more than that. With an estimated 10-20 million illegals already in the country & 1 million a year continuing to arrive, they are impacting the US in major ways. Here is the down side of illegal immigration.

1. Illegals break US law by coming here illegally. They compound this law-breaking by generating a market for fraudulent documents, such as driver licenses & social security cards, to facilitate their stay here. They mock those who follow the rules & wait to immigrate here, come their turn.

2. Illegals suppress wages for American workers by working for less than the fair market value of their labor. American businesses, eager to save a buck, take advantage of this.

3. Illegals take jobs from Americans. They do not do work that Americans won't do - that is a worn-out cliche. They do work that they under-bid Americans by. And they are not only in the fields picking fruit. They are in construction, retail, & even professions, making very good money in many cases. Some are in unions, like the Teamsters. They are particularly taking jobs from traditional teen summer employment, as well as jobs from Blacks, where unemployment is traditionally high.

4. Illegals cheat local, state & federal tax revenue by primarily living in a cash only economy. They are paid under the table, cheating the government out of revenue (abetting the business owner who in turn cheats the government). They pay rent in cash (abetting the landlord who in turn cheats the government). It is estimated that over 30% of the Los Angeles economy is cash only.

5. Illegals take from government services far more than they may put into it in the form of taxes. Any taxes illegals pay are dwarfed by the services they extract from government in the form of social service benefits, health care & education for themselves & their families. Literally tens of billions of taxpayer dollars every year flow their way. And this doesn't include fraudulent claims by illegals to get those benefits.

6. Illegal's children strain the K-12 public school system. School enrollment has dramatically increased in many towns & cities - causing crowded classrooms, the additional need for bilingual teachers & services. Illegal's children also are entitled to free lunch & other programs. Taxpayer costs average $10,000 a year to educate these children. Special needs children of illegals can cost up to $80,000 per child per year. Local school districts are increasingly hard put to increase their budget or forced to cut costs in other areas & services.

7. Illegals strain health care services & cost taxpayers billions per year. Hospitals cannot deny health care services to illegals, whether they can pay or not. More & more hospitals are increasingly in the red because the hospitals are stuck with the cost for their services. Many hospitals, particularly in California are closing due to bankruptcy. We have read of 2 illegals receiving dialysis in Ohio at a cost of $100,000 per year. Multiply this nationwide. Taxpayer dollars are better spent on Americans in need of health care. It is also not uncommon for foreigners on legal visas to come to the US & immediately head to a hospital. They get the care here that they cannot get or afford in their own country.

8. Illegals add to traffic congestion & safety concerns. Many illegals are driving, well, illegally. Despite adding to the congestion on our roads, illegals are usually not insured due to inability to get it or due to cost.

9. Illegals bring disease. Not all illegals, of course. But there is no checking them when they illegally cross the border. There has been a dramatic rise of a strain of tuberculosis in California, the largest illegal population in the country, which is particular to south of the border. Hepatitis cases are increasing also, as well as reports of polio in some areas. This not only increases their health care costs, but puts Americans at greater risk.

10. Illegals are a major factor in population increase in the US. It is estimated that by the year 2050, the US population will be 400 million, primarily due to legal & illegal immigration. Illegal immigration, by the way, is now greater than legal immigration per year. A 400 million population produces greater strain on all aspects of the US economy, envirorment & culture.

11. Illegals impact the environment through consumption & use of water resources, more vehicles, more demand for consumables, more wood resources & others resources.

12. Illegals increase the crime rate, especially violent crimes. Crimes have needlessly been committed by some illegals who if not in this country would not be committing their crimes, from petty theft to rape & murder. Illegals as well as Americans are the victims. Young, illegal Latino gang members in particular are on the increase. It is estimated that 40% of Los Angles gang members are illegals. There is a particularly violent Latino gang called MS-13. Primarily from Central America, they are vicious, violent & involved in murder, drugs & a host of crimes. They have spread from California to places like West Virginia & North Carolina. Twenty percent of the Federal prison population consists of illegals convicted of crimes from theft to murder.

13. Illegals are an unknown factor when it comes to who they are. Not only are the worker class entering the US. Entering alongside them are criminals, some violent, fugitives from their country, gang members, drug dealers & drug runners, pychopaths, child molesters, rapists & a whole host of other misfits. They cross the border just as easily as the fruit-picker. And least we not forget - terrorists. Which one of the illegals crossing the border is the farm worker & which is the terrorist? Over 100,00 non-Mexicans a year are arrested, coming from all over the world, as they enter the US illegally from the southern border. They are given a notice to appear in court & then released. They don't show up for court. It is crazy & dangerous to American security to have hundreds of thousands of non-Mexicans living in the US illegally & not knowing their intent or where they are in the country.

14. Illegals have little regard for housing standards. Town after town is finding itself faced with illegals packed into homes. Recently in a New York town 60 illegals were found living in a house. The rooms were wall to wall mattresses & the place was a pig sty. Health code & building code means nothing to illegals, nor to owners who supply the rooming. This problem is increasing dramatically in towns throughout the US. Illegals tend to sublet bedrooms in apartments from strangers or relatives, which is in violation of most housing codes. Illegals are also found to be living in attic or basement rooms, which again is in violation of most housing codes.

15. Illegals are contributing to a revolutionary cultural shift in the US that is too soon & too great. The influx of illegal immigration, coupled with the large legal immigration today, is causing a sea change in towns & cities throughout the country. There is no assimilation. Instead, there is overrun. Towns across the US are finding themselves with a sudden, dramatic increase in Latino, Portuguese, Indian or other populations. It is particularly with the Latino population that the increase is largest. Towns in unlikley places such as in Georgia or Colorado or Minnesota are seeing these changes. Within 10 years, towns have gone from marginal foreign populations to 30-40% foreign. Besides the sudden cultural changes, towns are struggling financially with social services provided & with accommodation to these cultures such as language services. Schools, as noted above, are crowding. Some towns are now coping with so-called day laborer centers, where large groups of men can be seen on street corners, convenience stores & other areas, waiting for contractors & other employers to pull up & hire them for the day. A good deal of these laborers are illegals. Besides an unsightly blight to the area, these laborers are known for urinating in public, harassing passerbys & in some cases committing crimes.

This country is in a mess as can be seen above & the blame falls squarely on Congress & each succeeding President. They have failed to fund & enforce existing laws & programs for border security. After the 911 attacks you would think that they would get serious about border security & control & illegal immigration. But they have not done so & unless grassroots pressure is put on them they will continue to do nothing except throw out cheap talk about the problem. Meanwhile, taxpayers & the public are left to suffer from this illegal invasion of the country.

Illegal Aliens - One Crime Leads to Another

Illegal aliens commit a crime the minute they cross the border & set foot inside the United States or if they overstay their visas; either way they are in this country illegally. But this crime necessarily begets additional crimes on their part.

Once in this country, they need identification. There is a large underground economy thriving in document forgery. The illegal aliens turn to this for identification. For usually large sums of money, the illegal aliens can purchase forged social security cards, passports, visa I-94 cards, drivers licenses & other identification. These documents are good enough for them to establish a form of identity for employment & other purposes.

Once they have a form of identification, they can more easily pass in American society. They can also more easily commit crimes of fraud by applying for government benefits such as welfare & health services, using this forged identification.

To be an illegal alien means to constantly live a lie, to cheat or commit additional crimes. They show no respect for American law if that law impedes their illegal stay in this country. The American citizens & taxpayers are the victims. It is time to seal the borders. It is time to send them back.

New Haven's Nutty Idea - Issue I.D.'s to Illegals

New Haven, Conn., as part of an Hablamos Espanol (We Speak Spanish) program to facilitate Spanish speaking residents, has decided to issue city i.d.'s to illegal aliens. The mayor of New Haven, John DeStefano Jr., wants to give illegal immigrants a legitimate form of ID so they can open bank accounts, prove their identity to police and access social services. New Haven has 25,000 Latinos, half of which are illegals.

"Does anybody in New Haven understand that they are breaking the immigration law?", said Elise Marciano, Danbury chapter president of the Connecticut Citizens for Immigration Control." You are not supposed to aid and abet illegal aliens," Marciano added. "They have no documents. They could give you any name. They could go and get 15 different ID cards with different names. How would you know?"

What part of "illegal" doesn't the mayor understand? Yes, he is breaking Federal law in that he is aiding & abetting illegal aliens in the form of identification. What part of "fraudulent identity" or "alias" doesn't the mayor understand. Can we expect illegal aliens to give their real names when they apply for the identity card? Unlikely.

The mayor is opening up a can of worms here. But since he is a gubernatorial candidate, he may be using it to fish for votes. He is sadly mistaken if he thinks this will garner him votes. As illegal immigration gets more out of control, more Americans are fed-up with elected officials who coddle & cater to illegals & their supporters.

Immigration Head Nominee -Credentials or Crony

The Bush administration is seeking to appoint Julie Myers as head of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency. Myers, 36, is a lawyer with little or no experience in immigration & customs issues. Myers also happens to be the niece of Gen. Richard Myers - the guy you see on tv all the time with Don Rumsfeld, giving briefings about Iraq. Uh huh. She is also married to the chief of staff to Michael Chertoff, who is head of Homeland Security. Uh huh.

Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) is a huge & important agency. It is especially important now, since there have been growing calls for greater border protection & greater crack-down on the illegal invasion from the south. There are complex issues involved. Myers managed a department of 170 employees in the Commerce Dept. ICE has 20,000.

We do not need another FEMA embarrassment, where Bush crony & inexperienced Michael Brown was replaced after allegations he utterly failed to respond correctly to the Katrina hurricane disaster. Immigration is too important an issue to have its head not knowing an H-1 visa from a B-1 visa. We are sure there are plenty of qualified & thoroughly experienced managers out there who could be nominated to the position. But then, how many of them have a General for an uncle?

Bussing to the Border

The Sheriff of El Paso County, Colorado, has come up with a unique way of getting Immigration & Customs Enforcement's attention. Tired of the county paying to house illegals in the county jail & the lack of an ICE office in the area, the Sheriff informed ICE that he would begin bussing illegals to the Mexican border or dropping them off in the streets.

ICE responded by saying that they would be agreeable to opening an office. However, that may take awhile, as Congress must approve of it.

The Sheriff has reason to complain. The county last year spent $1.2 million in incarceration costs. The Federal government reimbursed the county only $180,000. The current daily illegal population in the jail averages 80-100, for crimes & immigration violations. 75% of the illegals are charge with crimes, from misdemeanors up to homicide. ICE is notified each time an illegal is arrested, but they only pick up 5 or 6 a week. The others are released into the streets. Nationwide, ICE has a paltry 19,500 detention spaces for illegals.

The Sheriff had a terrific idea & we think he should still consider bussing to the border. The Federal government is doing nothing to control the illegal situation. Therefore, it is up to citizens to take the initiative, such as The Minutemen Project & those groups who are hounding day laborer areas. We applaud the Sheriff.

Dallas to Principals: Learn Spanish or Fired

The Dallas Independent School District Board has voted 5-4 in favor of a proposal that makes it mandatory for all principals in its schools with a 50% or more Hispanic student body to learn Spanish. The principals would be given 3 years to learn the Spanish language. Failing to do so would result in termination, i.e., fired. So now, full-time working school administrators must spend sufficient time learning Spanish so that they are proficient in the language or they get the heave-ho.

The proposal came about after an event was held & some Hispanic parents complained that because they didn't speak English, they couldn't understand the event.

Welcome to the United States of Political Correctness. The powers that be are again kowtowing to immigrants who refuse to learn English or are too lazy-assed to learn it. Their children are in Bi-lingual programs & English as a Second Language programs, but learning English themselves is not high on their list.

There are sufficient Spanish speaking teachers & counselors in their school system for non-English speaking parents. A Spanish-speaking principal is totally unnecessary. If one is necessary, why not a Spanish-speaking Vice-Principal & on down the line? Why not have a Portuguese speaking principal to accommodate Portuguese & Brazilians? Or Chinese, or...well you get the idea. Instead, future job applicants for the principal position are now to be discriminated against because they only speak English in an English-speaking country. Duh.

This idea is idiotic, as are the people who pushed it & voted for it. Political correctness and accommodation gone amuck.

Spanish Set to Become Official Language of Seven Denver Public Library Branches

In a sharp break from American tradition, the Denver Public Library is promoting a plan that would make seven of its branches “Spanish focused,” banishing English language books to the backroom. The “Languages and Learning” plan would dramatically increase Spanish language offerings and staff, designating some locations as Spanish dominant. The proposal is currently under review by the Library Commission and an advisory board.
“Denver’s action is a dubious first in American history: a major U.S. city is creating a public institution that intentionally excludes native-born Americans,” explained Mauro E. Mujica, Chairman of the Board of U.S. English, Inc. “This action goes against the model of assimilation that has successfully served the United States for centuries.”
“In a nation of immigrants, focusing on a single non-English language is the type of favoritism that we should have abandoned years ago. The taxpayers of Denver — residents who speak 68 languages — should not stand idly by while their money goes to support immigrants from El Salvador or Colombia over immigrants from Vietnam or Egypt.”
Library officials counter that the switch to Spanish dominant libraries is an extension of the institution’s purpose. They claim that the Languages and Learning plan will assist Spanish speaking residents in becoming members of their community. Proponents call the plan “cutting edge” and “revolutionary.”
“I fail to see how an ‘Official Spanish’ Library will aid immigrants in learning English and becoming Americans,” Mujica continued. “If anything, it will further the notion that Spanish-speaking immigrants can live in relative comfort without needing to learn our common language. If we are to successfully continue as a nation of immigrants, we cannot send an ‘English Optional’ message to any immigrant group.”

Town To Pay For Day Laborer (Illegals) Site

The small town of Herndon, Va., has decided to use taxpayer dollars to build a Day Laborer Center. Day laborers have been an on-going issue in Herndon. They hang out around the 7-11 store in town. There have been complaints of litter, urination & cat-calling women, not to mention the unsightly crowd of laborers hanging out in the area. Some residents have been reluctant to go into the 7-11 or nearby stores, & businesses have complained.

Not a Protest - Just Day Laborers Waiting for Jobs

The town council has held crowded hearings on the issue & recently voted to have a center established for the laborers, run by the town, in another, more residential area. Naturally, residents in that area are worried about property values & the problems that existed at the 7-11 store.

7-11 Hangout

According to a county report, 99.5 percent of day laborers in Herndon are Hispanic, and 87 percent are illegal immigrants. Employers -- which include contractors, other day laborers and private homeowners -- seek them out for construction, landscaping, painting and janitorial work.

Oh - we neglected to mention that the proposed site for the center is at, yup, the police station.

We wonder why 7-11 never took action to stop the laborers from gathering in their parking lot & at their door. They precipitated the problem. We also wonder why the police, who eagerly chase away 3 or more teenagers from loitering allowed this gathering of laborers. We also note the irony of having mostly illegals who will ply their trade, under the noses of a police station. One councilman said that the police cannot enforce Federal immigration law. But he is wrong.

Day laborer hang-outs are becoming epidemic throughout the country, especially where there are large Hispanic populations, which in turn attracts large numbers of illegals. Many towns have been caught in the sudden surge of Hispanic residents & with it the given of day laborer hang-outs. Farmingville, Long Island, NY, is in the midst of a huge controversy over day laborers in their town.

There is blame to go around. The Federal government has refused to control our borders properly. Towns are too willing to pass the buck of illegal immigration to the Federal government by not allowing their police to become proactive on illegal immigration. Even if they did, the Immigration Bureau fails to provide enough immigration officers in the area & the towns see little or no reimbursement for jailing expenses, etc. Businesses like the 7-11 & Home Depot tolerate & actively condone laborer activity on their property. Contractors, landscapers & the home owner who needs a low cost paint job are to blame.

Coming to a Town Near You

Judicial Watch, a government watchdog group, has advised the Town of Herndon that they are going to file a law suit to stop the taxpayer funded center. We will keep you posted.

Hispanic Poll on Immigration: Half of Mexico Wants to Move to the U.S.

The Pew Hispanic Center recently conducted a survey of native-born & foreign-born Hispanics about a number of immigration issues. The results are interesting. The key findings are:

1. 80% say immigrants strengthen the United States, while 14% say they are a burden.
2. 68% say illegal immigrants help the US economy because of low-cost labor, while 23% say they drive down wages.
3. 55% approve of drivers licenses to illegals, while 41% disapprove.
4. 43% say legal immigration should stay the same, 13% say reduced & 31% say increased.
5. 84% favor proposals to give illegal aliens permanent status, then citizenship.
6. 37% think Democrats have the best policy on immigration, while 23% say Republicans.
7. 55% say to be part of American society one should speak English, 43% said no.
8. 79% say to be part of American society one should believe in the Constitution, 16% said no.
9. 54% say to be part of American society one should become a US citizen, 42% said no.
10. 59% think schools should teach English only, while 40% said no.

Pew also surveyed Mexicans living in Mexico:

1. 46% say they would live in the US if they had the means & opportunity. That translates to over 46 million Mexicans.
2. 21% say they would be inclined to live in the US illegally. That translates to over 21 million Mexicans.
3. 54% say they would be inclined to go to the US on Bush's Guest Worker Program. That translates to over 54 million Mexicans - half of Mexico.
4. The desire to emigrate, legally or illegally cuts across all class of Mexicans; young, old, rich, poor, educated, uneducated.
5. One out of every eight adults born in Mexico now lives in the US.

There are a few things disturbing about this survey:

1. 54 million Mexicans would be inclined to go to the US on a Guest Worker program. That is half the population of Mexico. We see a disaster coming if President Bush has his way with this program & there are no definite restrictions as to the number of "guest workers". Especially when it comes time for the guest workers to leave the US & they don't.
2. 21 million Mexicans, 20% of the country, is inclined to come to the US illegally. Any amnesty given to the 10+ million illegals already here will give impetus to the other 21 million to come to the US in hopes of their own amnesty.
3. The myth that only the poor, uneducated, low-paid Mexican is coming to the US illegally is just that - a myth. The desire to get here cuts across all economic & educational classes.
4. The reluctance of a large percentage to learn English & who are against English-only school classes demonstrates that assimilation into American society is not their goal.

Some serious problems are ahead of us if Congress & the President do nothing to secure our borders & stem the flow of immigration.

2nd State Declares Border Emergency

Coming on the heels of the recent declaration by New Mexico of a border emergency, Arizona's Gov. Janet Napolitano declared an emergency Monday in four border counties because of problems related to illegal immigration and moved to provide local governments in those counties with up to $1.5 million in state funding. The funding is similar to New Mexico's ( see below post).

Napolitano's order said failure by the federal government to secure the border allowed a flood of illegal immigration that threatened public health and safety, "thereby necessitating immediate action by the state ... to aid its border counties.''

"All of this, bottom line every last bit of this, is a federal responsibility but the federal government has not done what it needs to do and has promised to do,'' said L'Ecuyer, Napolitano's spokeswoman. She added that the actual damage and the level of frustration compelled Napolitano to act.

Napolitano also has accused the federal government of repeatedly failing to act on illegal immigration, particularly on reimbursement of state and local government costs for apprehending, prosecuting and imprisoning illegal immigrants who commit crimes in Arizona.

This is more welcome news for illegal alien control & again points up the Federal government's failure to secure our southern border.

What is interesting about these two states is that both Governors are Democrats & both were less than willing in the past to do anything about the illegal alien issue. In fact, Gov. Bill Richardson of New Mexico, & Hispanic himself, gave a speech to Hispanics a few years ago in which he shouted, "Viva La Raza" (long live the race) & extolled the virtues of the immigration tide. Both have now jumped on the issue for whatever reason.

What with Hillary Clinton's recent conversion to an anti-illegal immigration stance, the Dems seem to be beating the Republicans on this issue, while the Republicans twiddle their thumbs mulling over a "guest worker" plan. Illegal immigration will be an important issue in 2008 & the Dems seemed to have figured it out.

New Mexico Governor Declares Border Emergency

New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson on Friday declared an emergency in four New Mexico counties along the border. By declaring the emergency, $1.75 million in funds are now available to spend on drug smuggling, border crimes & re-fencing a livestock yard which has seen cattle stolen or killed. The livestock yard is also open to stray Mexican cattle & illegal aliens. A field office for the state Homeland Security Office will also be provided.

Richardson's declaration said law enforcement officials have used all available resources to help with border security. But those efforts haven't alleviated the situation, which he said ''constitutes an emergency condition with potentially catastrophic consequences.''

''Recent developments have convinced me this action is necessary - including violence directed at law enforcement, damage to property and livestock, increased evidence of drug smuggling and an increase in the number of undocumented immigrants,'' he said.

There was also concern about Mexican cattle in the USA. ''We don't want contagious diseases to contaminate our food supply and disrupt our agricultural economy,'' Richardson said in a statement before his trip.

The announcement by Richardson, a Democrat, is a pleasant surprise. He may be serious about his actions or he may be posturing for a 2008 presidential or vice-presidential bid. We don't care if he is looking to get a Boy Scout merit badge out of this. The fact that a state official has taken some action to help secure our borders is commendable. More & more state & local officals are stepping up to do something about our insecure borders & the illegal alien invasion.

The Federal government has shirked its responsibilities in these areas. Congress & the President continue to do nothing to secure our borders & stem the flood of illegals.

Illegals Cost Florida $4.3 Billion a Year

The Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) has issued a detailed report on the cost to Floridians by illegal aliens. Florida's illegal alien population is estimated at 630,000.

Fair reports that over $4 billion a year is spent on public education for illegals, $165 million a year on non-reimbursed health care costs of illegals & $155 million a year for jailing illegals charged with crimes. This amounts to about $575 a year per Florida household headed by a native-born resident. Fair concludes by stating that if nothing is done to stem the burden of illegal aliens to Florida that in 10 years the yearly cost to taxpayers will rise to $8 billion. The report does not even consider the impact of overcrowding, additional traffic, environmental issues & the sudden cultural change by 630,000 illegals.

At $4.3 billion a year, in 10 years we are talking $43 billion dollars. Think what that money could do for Floridian taxpayers. For one thing, it could lower their taxes. Instead of peeing it away on illegals who committed a crime by getting into this country, the money could be spent on the state's infrastructure, better health care for Americans, more health care for those Americans who can't afford it, helping the poor & the homeless Americans in Florida. The money could be used in so many ways to help Floridians.

Instead, because of the Congress & the President's dismal failure to do anything about the illegal invasion, Floridians are being cheated out of the benefits that $4.3 billion a year could provide them. Add in the other 49 states that are throwing money away because of illegals & you're talking about a huge travesty with taxpayer dollars.

Thank the Congress & the President for betraying its citizens ( the legal ones we mean).

Violent Mexican Drug Thugs Expand Into U.S.

A renegade band of Mexican military deserters, offering $50,000 bounties for the assassination of U.S. law-enforcement officers, has expanded its base of operations into the United States to protect loads of cocaine and marijuana being brought into America by Mexican smugglers, authorities said (full article).

Known as "Zetas", they are Mexican Army deserters who were trained in commando operations in the U.S. These low-life are violent, vicious killers. Across the border from Laredo, Texas, in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, a city of 300,000, they are in a battle with police & opposing gangs. 100 people have been killed there since January. The new police chief was killed on his first day. His replacement was wounded on his first day. The violence is spilling over into the USA with killings in Dallas & other cities. Assaults on U.S. Border Patrol Agents have increased dramatically.

The Border patrol is woefully undermanned. There are few to cover 1,800 miles of the southern border. Congress recently voted down additional agents. The President & Congress are doing nothing but talk about the need for greater border control. Homeland Security is doing a great job preventing Granny from getting on a plane with nailclippers, but they are a complete failure in protecting our southern border. The southern border is wide open not only to illegal Mexican immigrants, but to drug cartels, violent gangs, criminals, perverts, illegal border crossers from Europe, the mid-East & Asia & to potential terrorists. Americans are already dying daily because of the pedophiles, rapists & other criminals that cross the border unchecked. How many more are the President & Congress willing to sacrifice for their nonfeasance?

It is appalling how unprotected we are along this border, despite billions being poured into Homeland Security. It is way beyond time to stop the meaningless talk from Washington & do something about it, even if it requires the National Guard along the border.

Illegals Taking Teen Summer Jobs

A study was done(related article here)at Northeastern University that showed teen summer employment has dropped 36.7% this summer, the biggest drop since studies began in 1948.

The report attributed much of the drop due to businesses hiring immigrants, of which at least 50% are illegal. Increasingly, businesses are paying these immigrants off the book, thereby saving in taxes, workers compensation & other benefits.

Andrew Sum, the director of the Center for Labor Market Studies at Northeastern University, said more business owners interviewed as part of his research indicate that they are adding immigrant workers to their payrolls for the April through November period. "By the time kids get out of school on vacation, it's too late," he said. "The jobs are filled."

Typically, he said, for every 10 immigrants hired by construction and landscaping firms, two are put on the books as eligible for workers' compensation. If one of the illegal workers gets injured, he said, employers often "flip" that worker into a job slot filled by a covered worker, who then goes off the books.

Businesses are perhaps the biggest factor in adding to the illegal immigration mess we have. If they didn't hire illegals then there would be less impetus for illegals to come to Los Estados Unidos. But businesses put profit over patriotism. They cheat the government with less tax dollars, as well as have an unfair financial edge against competitors who do play by the rules. In the process, the American teen is losing out.

The pathetic thing about this whole affair is that two years ago only 40 businesses nationwide were cited for hiring illegals. As if it couldn't get any worse, last year only 3 businesses were cited!

The Congress & the President have been dismal failures in protecting Americans from the immigrant invasion. The scope of their non-feasance is appalling. They are traitors to every American citizen.

Another Town is Swallowed

The sudden, massive invasion of both legal & illegal aliens is creating a sea-change in cities & towns across the nation. Local municipalities are seeing their populations quickly jumping in size. Municipal services are straining to keep up with this growth, with taxes increasing as a result. Housing is more difficult. Illegal housing & overcrowding of apartments are increasing. The cultural differences are suddenly stark & abundantly obvious. Assimilation has been abrogated to mutli-culturalism & enclaves.

Embracing Illegals

Such is the title of this article in Business Week magazine. The article focuses on the many companies that are looking at the buying power of at least 11 million "undocumented immigrants" (the politically correct term for illegal aliens in the article).

We understand a business trying to get as many customers as possible, legal or illegal. There is no law against selling to illegals; as opposed to businesses who hire illegals, well - illegally.

However, we are concerned that businesses are too quick to accept false identification or the infamous Matricula Consular card - an i.d. card issued by Mexico. The Matricula card is fraught with fraud. Its only purpose by Mexico is to provide some form of i.d. to illegals to help them in their new life in Los Estados Unidos. More than half the cards issued by Mexico are to illegals. By accepting such i.d., businesses help illegals & maybe terrorists establish an identification "respectability" & profile, whether that i.d is valid or not. An established i.d. leads to other forms of enterprise & benefits. But hey, business is business, right?

One point in the article caught our attention: "Camila and Diego Sandoval (not their real names), walked off a plane from Lima, Peru, four years ago as tourists and never went back to their professional jobs. Diego, 33, got work parking cars but soon went into business for himself designing pools and processing construction permits. Camila, 29, joined him after a stint at a hotel. Together, the two now pull down $120,000 a year. Last year, Camila obtained residency papers by making a marriage of convenience to a friend who is a legal resident. But when Diego tried to become legal the same way, he soon found that his bride had been fictitiously married 11 times. So he filed for a divorce rather than risk an interview with immigration officials."

What this part of the article conveniently does not tell you is that they broke US immigration law by overstaying ( 4 years & counting now) their tourist visa. This is a common way for illegals to get into the country. They check in, but they never have an intention of checking out. The other part that is telling is that Camila committed a felony by getting a phony marriage of convenience in order to obtain legal residency in the US. Poor Diego tried the same thing, but he can try again. There is always someone else willing to get paid thousands of dollars by the "Sandovals" for a phony marriage. You better believe that this "marriage of convenience" crime is repeated thousands of times in the US by illegals.

We also have to wonder if Camila & Diego have ever paid income taxes on their $120,000 income or Social Security taxes or State taxes or unemployment taxes or business taxes? And if they are, did they get the capital to start their own business by the savings from not paying income taxes in the formative years of their "overstay"?

Illegal aliens, like the "Sandovals" are by definition cheaters. They cheat to get into the country, they cheat to get residency in the US with phony marriages. They cheat by not paying taxes. It stands to reason that they have a proclivity to cheating further down the road, be it with cash salaries, cash rents of illegal apartments or any myriad forms available to them.

Loose Lips Start Trips

When President Bush announced his "guest worker" plan for immigrants it was the typical unintended consequences speech. The Federation for American Immigration Reform, under the Freedom of Information Act, recently received over 1,000 pages related to a survey that the government tried to withhold. Story here.

Of the illegal aliens that were arrested & surveyed, 45% said they came to the USA upon hearing rumors of Bush's proposal for "amnesty". They took the trip north hoping to get in while the getting was good. A similar situation occurred in the 80's when amnesty was given to 3 million. There was a sudden rush to the US border as a result.

The President & other government officials need to be careful in what they say. They are sending a message that it is time to pack the bags & take the trip to Los Estados Unidos. As a result, the country has even more illegal aliens to deal with.

Silent Invasion: A Resident's Take on the Take-Over of His Community

I live in a moderate-sized town in New England near a large city. I was born here & am still here 40 years later. The town was always a quiet place, considering we are in a mutli-cultural metropolitan area. The town was of predominantly European stock. About fifteen years ago that all began to change.

First let me say that most of the people I describe here are hard workers & I have no grudge with the individual, except the cheats & illegals, but that doesn't mean we should allow 6 billion hard workers into the country. We can't take them all. It is the government that has allowed this situation to occur & the grudge is with them.

We began to get a movement of Portugese citizens & non-citizens who came from, or fled more appropriately, the nearby city. They bought existing homes, usually with low-interest Portugese association mortgages, & remodeled them. I give them credit for that. More & more Portuguese followed. On the heels of them we began to see Hispanics moving into town. Some bought homes, but most rented. We began to see some Spanish & Portugese stores & eateries open in town.

As the years quickly progressed, so did the influx of Hispanics & Portugese, exponentially. The new residents were now more likely Brazilian, Peruvian & Mexican with representation from every Central & South American country to some point. Along with this, a fair amount of Chinese from the Communist Mainland began moving in, as well as Pakistani, Indian, Ethiopean & Kenyian.

Needless to say, they opened or bought out stores & gas stations in town. Their children were enrolled into the schools. In fact, the schools began bi-lingual education to accomodate them & reached the point that they were sending out report cards in 5 languages. Cultural centers opened for some of the nationalities & candidates for local office ran & in some cases won.

The town has now changed drastically within 15 years. The steady stream of people from these cultures continues unabated. Eighty percent of students moving into town are Hispanic or Brazilian, about the same percent are Hispanic or Portugese new home buyers or renters; half of those 80%'s are on visa or have a "green card". The other half are predominantly born out of country, though citizens now. Half of our schools now have Hispanic majorities, where years earlier the Hispanic student population was 1 percent. More than half the stores & gas stations are now minority owned. These stores sell Brazilian-only products or Peruvian-only products, etc., etc. Needless to say, their store signs & advertisements are in their languages.

The cultural change in town has been too soon, too fast. There has been no assimulation. It has been more of a swallowing whole of the established European culture.

As a mid-level manager employed by the town, I have a better view of things then the general town public. What I have seen is, frankly, disturbing. First, there is no attempt at assimulation as I said earlier. The Hispanics & Brazilians especially fly their countries flags from their homes with the notable absence of the American flag. I am asked almost every day by someone who comes to the town hall if I speak Spanish or Portugese. When I say no, some are shocked; "No speak Spanish?!" Being told no, they continue speaking their language until I'm forced to usher them out or they leave & come back with an interpreter or speak in barely understandable English. When I explain why something can't be done I get, "But in my country...". Well you know what? You're not in your country, pal, you're in the USA. Accept our laws or go back to "my country." I am sick to death of the phrase, "but in my country."

The town population has increased 7,000 in these 15 years. A large jump. The schools are now overcrowded. The school board asks constantly for a larger budget. Property taxes have kept going up to keep pace with the school budget & town services, especially social services.

What is more alarming is the economic culture they bring. It is especially true with Portugese & Spanish homeowners that they illegally rent out attics & basements. Not all, but many. The renters, Brazilian or South American mostly, pay cash. Of course, the renters are paid cash at their jobs, so no taxes for them or their employer; this is common around here. Naturally, rent collected is under the table thus tax-free. Wouldn't it be nice to collect $15,000-$18,000 a year on 2 illegal apts tax free? Even renters in a 3 bedroom apartment "rent" out one of the bedrooms to a someone, which is illegal. The cliche about packing them into an apartment is true. Family & extended family add up to more than legally should be there. Walk down any street & you will see 3 doorbells or 3 mailboxes on a 2-family house or 5 last names on a single mailbox. When we contact an owner about his property, we are told often that he is in Portugal or Brazil for 6 months on vacation. Naturally, back to "my country", thanks to the tax-free illegal rents collected & the under-the-table salaries. There are more people in town, thanks to illegal apts, but the town does not see the greater income from it. Instead, town services are more strained.

Remember the "The Name Game" song - banana-fana-fo Phil? The Spanish & Portugese have that beat. We may put Maria Diaz on the property list. We send out mail & it comes back "unknown". It turns out that Maria Diaz's full name is Maria Elvira Correjo Diaz. However, She uses Elivra Correjo on the mailbox. Half her identifaction uses one name & the other half the other name. I have even seen third names used. I don't know if this is a "cultural" thing, but it is more than common & confusing as hell for our databases & files. If this is how they operate in their country, then it must be a nightmare. But it also opens the door to fraud & I wonder how often someone has taken advantage of it for exactly that purpose.

I don't know what the illegal population is in town. I know we have many. Most people think that illegals sneak across the border. It has been my experience that most illegals here have come into the country legally. The scam is to get in legally on a tourist or worker visa then just don't leave when it expires. I have seen people on 30-day tourist visas with social security cards, 1 year rental leases & other documentation that indicates they are not going anywhere soon. I have had illegals show me their forged identifications. I know of one who illegally crossed the border & is now making very good money as a Teamster Union member. So much for the image of the low waged apple picker.

Our government consciously opened & allowed a floodgate of legal immigration. Compounded with that is the huge number of illegals coming into the country. We cannot absorb the volume. Towns like mine are being overwhelmed cuturally & government services wise. I don't know what the hell the government was thinking to approve this open door immigration policy. But my town isn't the only one. It is being repeated elsewere in the country countless times, especially on the west coast. This is nothing but a seachange in society & nothing is being done about it. I wonder sometimes if I can make it until retirement & then get the hell out of here. The hell with New England, Montana looks better every day.

Illegal Alien Trash

The post title is not pejorative - it is environmental. The millions of illegals from Mexico who cross the border leave mounds of trash on their trek to Los Estados Unidos. Their trash is dumped on the pristine desert as well as the ranches & property of Americans who happen to be in their line of travel. The trash includes everything humans can dump: clothing, bottles, cans, used Kotex, needles, cars, human feces - you name it, it's there.

A Congressional report estimated that clean-up of one small area along the Arizona border would cost $2 million. Multiply this by the whole length of the southern border. Not only do we allow illegals free reign in this country, but now we are picking up their garbage at tax payer expense.

As of yet we do not know of any position, much less outrage, from the major environmental groups about this issue. They are silent. If anyone does, please advise.

Sanctuary Cities: A Welcome to Illegals & an Invitation to Terrorists

Sanctuary cities are cities that declare themselves as safe harbors for illegal immigrants. They have policies, official or unofficial, that forbid city employees from aiding, cooperating with or contacting Federal immigration officials. It is not just the police who are barred, though the focus is on the police here; it is every city agency - housing, welfare, licensing, etc.

These sanctuary policies come as a result of pressure from pro-immigration groups, political expediency or through the misguided, sentimental notions of elected city officials that illegal immigrants have as much right to be here as anyone.

Federal statutes require states, cities & towns to stand clear of such prohibitions on their employees: "Not withstanding any other provision of Federal, State or local law, a Federal, State, or local government entity or official may not prohibit or in any way restrict any government entity or official from sending to or receiving from the Immigration and Naturalization Service information regarding the citizenship or immigration status, lawful or unlawful, of any individual." This, however, has not dissuaded cities. Juxtaposed to this, ironically, is the Supreme Court decision in the 80's, which still stands, prohibiting school employees from notifying immigration officials of illegals in their schools or of their parents.

New York City's mayor came out with a decree to the effect that it was a sanctuary city. It went to court & NYC lost. However, dozens of other cities still maintain sanctuary status officially or unofficially as we said earlier. Some of these cities include: NYC, Baltimore, Detroit, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C.,Portland, Maine, Seattle, San Diego & San Francisco.

Los Angles police can not question anyone about their immigration status, even if they are arrested, unless the arrest results in criminal charges. Los Angeles has a severe gang problem. It's estimated that at least 60% of Latino gang members are illegals. Yet the police can not do anything even though they may see a formerly convicted & deported gang member back walking down the street or know for a certainty that a gang member is illegal. They are prohibited from contacting immigration authorities. 90% of outstanding warrants for homicide there are for illegals. There would have been fewer murders, rapes, thefts & victims if this insane sanctuary policy was ended.

The effect of sanctuary policies is the encouragement of illegals to go straight to those cities. The illegals know they are safer from La Migra & the police there. The population increases, the crime rate goes up & social services (i.e. taxpayer dollars) in those cities are in greater demand.

Sanctuary cities are at odds with Homeland security & a welcome mat to terrorists. Besides the sanctuary a terrorist who illegally comes into the country will find in these cities, some states issue driver's licenses to illegals & cities accept this or accept the infamous Matricula card for identification (A Mexican government-issued i.d. for the express purpose of illegals & easy to get by anyone including terrorists).

A Bill was put forth in Congress to deny Federal funds to cities with sanctuary policies, but was voted down. The Federal government is also not enforcing its own anti-sanctuary laws against these cities.

Ironically, if a terrorist act should be committed in this country it will more than likely happen in a sanctuary city, where the illegals & terrorists have peace of mind. We hate to say that we as a country are just asking for it but, with the likes of sanctuary cities, we are just asking for it.

When "anchor babies" (children born in the USA to illegal parents) are included, the cost jumps significantly to $28,600,000,000 - as in Billions. Some programs, such as the free-lunch programs, are not even included in these costs.

Besides failing to slow down, much less curb, the invasion of millions of Mexican illegals to the US, they have failed miserably in stopping the influx of what is termed OTMs - Other Than Mexicans.

OTMs cross the Mexican-American border illegally & come from everywhere in the world. Last year 98,000 OTMs were apprehended crossing the border. They included Iranians, Syrians & others from terrorist-sponsored countries. This in itself is alarming for Americans concerned about another 9/11 or worse.

What is more alarming is that your very own government, the Congress & the President, releases them to roam the United States at will. Yes - releases them! The process works this way: An OTM is apprehended, the detention facilities are full so the OTM is given a court summons, a "notice to appear" paper, which gives a court date for the OTM to appear for an immigration hearing (Central & South Americans laughingly call these summons their permiso, their permission slips). Meanwhile, they are allowed to stay in the United States. Thereupon the OTM is released & melts into the population. It is not surprising that 98% of them do not show up for the court date. 98% of 98,000 a year. That's a lot of potential terrorists. And remember, we are not counting the hundreds of thousands of Mexicans that are similarly released. Thanks to the US government, they are all somewhere unknown & unable to be found in the country.

This policy has reached the point where Border Patrol drives van loads of them to bus stations where they take a bus to Boston, New York or God knows where. Should the OTMs be stopped along the way, they have their court notices as safe passage.

The policy has become so ludicrous that word has spread that the best thing for an illegal border crosser to do is to surrender to Border Patrol once in the USA. We kid you not.

"We used to chase them; now they're chasing us," Border Patrol Agent Gus Balderas said as he frisked Brazilians and collected their passports late last month. Another agent expressed astonishment at the cheekiness of some of the migrants. "They come up to you and say, 'I want my permiso,' " Agent Larry Alvarez said. "They want us to hurry up and get them out of here."

"I've been saying for a long time that in your next Sept. 11 hit, you're gonna find out how many of them came across this border right here," says Gary McBride, a rancher who lives 35 miles north of Douglas, Az (bordertown). "I feel like I'm living in a big ol' train station, and here comes one train, and here comes another, and here comes another, and they just never stop, people from every country you could name. Nothing has changed since Sept. 11. If anything, it's worse. It's a goddamn three-ring circus down here."

Some concerned citizens a while ago smuggled in from Mexico a fake nuclear weapon - 3 times - without being caught. Their point should be well-taken by the Federal Government.

However, as we have said, the Congress & the Administration, abetted by the courts, refuse to protect Americans. The Department of Homeland Security is a joke. The Federal Government refuses to do what is necessary to protect our southern border. They increase by a paltry number the amount of Border Patrol officers & brag about it. They refuse to build sufficient detention facilities so that 98,000 OTMs a year are not released into the country. They refuse to pressure Mexico to do its part in stopping the influx of invaders. They refuse to fence off large areas of the border. They are too busy being politically correct, too busy groveling for the Hispanic vote. And when the next 9/11 happens via the southern border, they will be too busy blaming each other & passing the buck.

This is your great Congress, this is your great administration. This is why you have citizen groups like the Minuteman Project on the forefront of trying to protect our borders. The Federal Government is failing the American public. And every Congressman & Senator, every President & Adminstration official who fails to aggressively do something to correct this insane policy will have the blood of the next 9/11 victims on their hands.

Illegal Immigration & Reconquista

Illegal immigration is out of control & both Congress & the Administration refuse to take serious steps to control it. This is fine with the Reconquista movement. Reconquista(reconquer) is primarily a Mexican movement in the U.S. Those in this movement believe that the Southwest USA, including California, is Mexican territory "stolen" from Mexico. Their aim is to reclaim or reconquer these lands for Mexico. They call these territories "Aztlan", a purely mythical Aztec place of origin which the movement hijacked. They would have you believe that the Southwest is truly their ancestral home. This is a lie. Nonetheless, the Reconquista movement is quickly growing across the USA.

Heading the Reconquista movement is MECHa (Movimiento Estudiantil De Chicanos De Aztlan or the Student Movement of Aztlan Chicanos) & La Raza Unita (The Unified Race). What is alarming about the Reconquista movement is the pure hatred & disdain for Americans & America. Both groups posit a far left agenda which naturally includes calls for amnesty for all illegal aliens. But their agenda spews with angry, racist, anti-white, anti-American tones.

MECHa's publication at the University of California editorially addressed "capitalist whites" & stated, "You've spilled enough of our blood, now it's your turn to bleed you [expletive] sub-human beasts." A MECHa slogan states, "por la Raza todo; fuera la Raza nada" ("for those of our race, everything; for those outside of it, nothing"). They've also editorialized that all immigration agents should be killed. They are virulently anti-Semitic. MECHa seeks an Hispanic take over of California & then the Southwest through massive Hispanic immigration, legal or illegal, peacefully or otherwise. La Voz de Aztlan will give you an idea of their radical philosophy.

La Raza Unita is of the same ilk as MECHa, just as radical & anti-American, just as racist & with same Aztlan baloney. Jose Angel Guitierrez, who founded it, is, incredibly, an attorney & political science professor: "We have an aging white America . . . They are dying. . . . They are sh---ing in their pants with fear! I love it! . . . We have got to eliminate the gringo, and what I mean by that is if the worst comes to the worst, we have got to kill him." "Our devil has pale skin and blue eyes."

And again, "What law made by white men to oppress all of us of color, female and male. This is our homeland. We cannot - we will not - and we must not be made illegal in our own homeland. We are not immigrants that came from another country to another country. We are migrants, free to travel the length and breadth of the Americas because we belong here. We are millions. We just have to survive. We have an aging white America. They are not making babies. They are dying. It's a matter of time. The explosion is in our population."

Another organization, the Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund (MALDEF) is the most influential Hispanic advocacy group in the United States. Though not radicalized, its policies fit in with MECHa & La Raza as far as unlimited & unrestricted immigration, open borders, etc. Anti-immigration advocates have been called "racist & xeonophobic" by the group. But MALDEF's co-founder belies their benign character when he stated, "California is going to be a Hispanic state, and anyone who doesn't like it should leave. They should go back to Europe."

All these groups are funded in the millions of dollars by the Ford Foundation & other foundations.

A recent demonstration in Baldwin, CA, by 50 Americans objecting to a taxpayer-funded monument whose inscribed text promotes the radical and militant belief in the reconquista of Aztlan [the take-over of the US southwest (Aztlan) by Mexicans] was counter-protested by such groups as MECHa & La Raza. They numbered 500.

These counter-protesters amply showed the disdaim for whites & America. They shouted such things as, "death to the rednecks" & "Zarqawi the Gringo killer, yes!, yes!" Also, "Too bad Osama Bin Laden didn't have a hydrogen bomb to drop on that Jewish shit hole called Manhattan..." & "Ha-ha , your 2 towers fell." One American protester stated, "Numerous times we were told that this land is Mexico and that they were taking it back. Numerous times racists epithets were screamed our way. One person even hurled a full water bottle at our side and sent one of our activists to the hospital with bleeding in the brain."

Not their country

This is what is facing the American people. And it will only get worse, unless drastic measures are taken to stop the illegal invasion of our borders. Radical groups such as MECHa & La Raza cry racism against any anti-immigration reform. But as can be seen, they are the racists & hateful, violence-prone agitators.
